Reviews for Winter Tucks Her Children In
BadAcid69 chapter 1 . 3/29/2015
I never tire of re-reading this piece. (:
nhsansanfan chapter 1 . 8/31/2013
No sappy ending, i love it
Thirst4light chapter 1 . 12/30/2012
It's rather odd to read a fic whereas Sansa is a fierce lady and Hound is a broken, emotional being..Still, this is a very well crafted fic and I liked the characterisation very much. :)
emmiemac chapter 1 . 11/21/2012
I love their mutual honesty, it is their strongest tie when they use it [and hopefully they will].
You have a gift for writing short pieces with strong imagery that need no elaboration: to me it is the verbal equivalent of a post-impressionist painting [impressionism being too soft, but the same idea: reflections and strokes and splashes that make a whole].

I'm very intrigued about the 'common law' marriage with the cloak and vow; I would love it if this were truly used to annul her marriage to Tyrion, on the grounds that she was already married to Sandor. I realize it's a million-to-one but one that makes me squee with delight.

And of course the thought of him as her consort, advisor, commander when she is queen of the North is the ending I would hope for but knwoing how GRRM likes to unceremoniouly bump people off and turn our expectations upside down, well, I won't bet any money.

At least I have this! Thanks.
AndBeAVillian chapter 1 . 11/7/2012
Bittersweet. But then again happy endings are only in songs there, yeah?
xbecbebex chapter 1 . 10/5/2012
your writing is just... so beautiful!
giggles-in-july chapter 1 . 8/28/2012

Rainglyph13 chapter 1 . 7/1/2012
Very nice story. I'm glad they found one another after all that time.
thegirlwiththeradishearrings chapter 1 . 6/17/2012
Oh god, I'm listening to the best song for this and trying not to cry. I love your rendition of Sansa and Sandor. I love how you made them grow apart and become different people and touched into how they are in love with the former illusions of each other. It was bittersweet. I felt like everything you wrote would become true. It seemed right.

Sansa would grow out of the summer child she was and Sandor would grow out of the Hound. But they would still hold some sort of connection and emotion to each other.

Okay, great. Now I'm tearing up. Thanks for that.

Great job, love. I adore everything you write.
ricca chapter 1 . 6/14/2012
Oh gosh this was beautiful. I really seriously absolutely LOVE that you don't have them meet up and be entirely 'omg 3 3!' after so many years. But it was still so beautiful and you have this wonderful cadence to your writing that absolutely captivates me. Looking forward to your sequel to City of Cinders, too.
Autumn-Marvels chapter 1 . 6/13/2012
This was absolutely amazing! Possibly one of the best one shots I have read for Sansa and Sandor, I really hoped you would continue this, I would love to see how they grew together in restoring Winterfell. If you ever do decide to continue this story I think it would be wonderful!
DeathByMonkees chapter 1 . 6/13/2012
Very very good. Teh Sandor pov was great, and your language was also very good. It drew me in and it felt right with the time period. It had that proper story feel, you know, that some fanfics lack. Very good job. It was also cool to see this new Queen Sansa. I always love reading peoples "what ifs", and this was very nice. I'd love for Sansa to become real badass in the last books, her journey as a character would be astonishing. I really liked this story, gonna read some more of your stories for sure!
interfan chapter 1 . 6/13/2012
This is beautiful. I think you have captured Sansa and Sandor's characters very well. They are different, they have grown up but it still feels like them.

Keep the fanfics coming!
Rae Rihanna chapter 1 . 6/13/2012
This is beautiful and such a breath of fresh air in regards to the SanSan relationship. Realistic, believable, and full of hope. Bravo!
HeartoftheNighte chapter 1 . 6/13/2012
angsty happy-ish end fic! love! i love how you write sandor and sansa, its always so beautiful. I like how you didn't have them fall into each others arms like no time had passed. how they recognize they're different people now, though still achingly the same on some ways.

-Maybe they will both live again—who was lost in King's Landing and who was lost in the Saltpans.

Maybe they could grow to love each other.

Maybe they could grow.-

I might've cried a little after reading that. Can't wait to read the upcoming fics!
