However, I wanted to comment on your comparison of Drunk Rikuo to a "rapist". I don't mean to insinuate that you support rape, but in my opinion, I feel like this statement is glorifying rape culture and non-consensual relationships.

According to Marshall University's Women's Center, rape culture is "an environment in which rape is prevalent and in which sexual violence against women is normalized and excused in the media and popular culture. Rape culture is perpetuated through the use of misogynistic language, the objectification of women’s bodies, and the glamorization of sexual violence, thereby creating a society that disregards women’s rights and safety."

"Rape Culture affects every woman. The rape of one woman is a degradation, terror, and limitation to all women. Most women and girls limit their behavior because of the existence of rape. Most women and girls live in fear of rape. Men, in general, do not. Before in your chapter 5 notes, you had acknowledged that other people said that comparing Rikuo’s kiss to sexual assault was exaggerating. You justified it by saying that this was “a long time ago".

I do acknowledge that this is a purely fictional work and does not reflect on your beliefs in the real world, so I can understand that the scenes where Rikuo kisses Tsurara when she didn’t want to was intended for romantic buildup and tension. However, I believe that for a true healthy relationship between Rikuo and Tsurara, it would be one based on respect and consent.

As an author, you have complete liberty to write what you want, and I do not want to impose on that whatsoever. I do think that it is the responsibility of an author to educate oneself to communicate stories in ways that do not intentionally disrespect any marginalized groups or minorities.
