This one-shot becomes a lot sadder with the knowledge of what happens during the Season 2 finale of LoK. However, it's beautifully written, and I can actually see this transpiring. Well done!

I am kind of surprised he just left his big pet outside. I know the bison, Oogi, is too massive to sleep inside the temple but Aang mentioned to Katara and Sokka upon his return visit to the ruined Air Temple that the bison slept in stables carved out of the mountainside to form natural caverns.

Presumably, the temple on the island is a miniature replica of the abandoned Air Temples. In that case, the bison should have their own dens. Oogi can probably find his way there but Tenzin should lead his pet just to be sure.

His father, Avatar Aang often had to leave his animal companions, Appa and Momo, alone for hours but he was travelling the globe with no real home. Tenzin should treat his bison better.

This was wonderful. A sweet and comforting moment between Lin and Tenzin, bittersweet though it may be. But, you pinned their characters down excellently, especially when describing Katara's nature. Well done.

So you say Korra is 6 here? I thought she was 5 when they found her, but anyway, if she is 6 here, then that means 1-2 more years until Jinora is born. o_0

Anyway, I like how you described Katara needing someone to take care of, and how she would go back to the SWT to help with the avatar as soon as she found out.

Aww, that was very sweet and well done. I enjoyed how you fit in the little Kataang too it's just bittersweet knowing that Linzen does not stay together but if Pema makes him happy. :shrug: I wonder if in the show they'll have a moment of Aang asking Korra to pass a message down to his children/grandchildren? In either case you did a wonderful job on this. Good work. :)
