Shadow of Antioch chapter 17 . 1/25/2015 Absolutely fenomenal. I don't understand why this story doesn't have more readers, it's so... Fantastic. The plot is captivating, the lore and history you provide us with only further immerses us in this universe you created, your writing style is professional and descriptive and the characters are all likeable and realistic. I'll more than happily read Radiant Heart. Good job. |
jkalskndna chapter 17 . 2/19/2014 Crud, I had to log in and accidentally put my review for this chapter on chapter 1, sorry, just see it then... |
jkalskndna chapter 1 . 2/19/2014 A fitting end to a fitting arc! I highly enjoyed this one, and the suspense near the end was fantastic! You almost had me fooled when you said Brucie and Des were dead. I noticed in reading "Snow Angels" that the other pokemon were not even mentioned, and I did wonder why, though I did not quite believe you would kill off both of them so quickly. I do enjoy this, wonderful job! |
SneakyDevil chapter 17 . 2/18/2014 I forgot what a fucking mind-trip your chapters can be. You had me triple-double-checking and questioning everything at least several times. You skill with your style of writing is one that I have yet to see anywhere else. So, thanks for upturning or confirming the many theories that I have spawned for this series. Looking forward to reading Part3 Sneaky D |
Write by Faith chapter 16 . 4/10/2013 Okay... I'm here to review. I'm a few months late, but I'm here. To begin with... WHY U NO HOST ON FFnet!? (I swear that's the only time I'll use cap locks in my review). I'm only vaguely familiar with AO3 and Lunaescene; I believe AO3 is invite only as well, am I right? Of course, there exist the possibility that I'm misinterpreting what you've written. The format of your sentence implies three sites ( that is to say "x,y, and z" format.) yet only two are listed. Could it be that you put fanfiction dot net and it removed the website because it thought it was a link? Okay, I'm reading way too much into that one sentence. I hope you continue to publish your work on FFnet; it wouldn't be the same without you here! (And I wouldn't be able to review either!) :( Anyways, I'm glad that you're going to be revising your previous chapters. While the quality of previous chapters has always been high (I wouldn't have stuck around otherwise), there's no doubt that your most recent chapters blow fractured unity out of the water. Speaking of which... I decided re-read all of your stories before reviewing this chapter. The reason behind that is... well, I REALLY needed a break from my work and wanted to relax. Let me tell ya I had an absolutely WONDERFUL week watching as Christian evolves from a miserable person working at Prevoy's Coffeehouse to a strong young man fighting to protect what he loves... you know, Sana. ;) I also wanted to get back up to speed with the story before I read this chapter. It'd be bad if I forgot things because I had been slacking off for so long. :D Oh, by the way I nearly died while re-reading Snow Angels. You've GOT to finish that one! T_T Now enough of me responding to your author's note; let me get on with the story! You know, I always feel pretty good about my writing. I think, "You know, I think I'm getting better...!" I smile, come here, and start reading your works. As always, my spirits come crashing down as I realize I'm writing in the shadow of a titan. There's just something about the way you write that evokes something within me. No other author, be it a published author or fanfiction author, has managed to elicit such a feeling from me. I can't describe what it is; perhaps it's a mix of emotion and pleasure? The way you describe your scenes is almost poetic in nature; it really is a beautiful thing. I don't mean to put myself down, but rereading all of your works from start to finish has given me a fresh perspective on just how great of an author you are. It is with great pride that I admit your supremacy of all authors whose works I've read. I love how quickly you can go from a poetic opening straight to the humorous/action-y bits so seamlessly. On that note... What was Brucie thinking!? I got a really good laugh at his explanation of 'how'. "Sana helped me!" Oh Sana! :P The dynamic between Edge, Des, and Brucie is brilliant. Des's role as both comedic relief and a voice of reason is a skillful fusion of two important character types. (Would you call those archtypes? Meh...) Besides Des and Brucie, though, I think the character that shines the brightest in this opening scene is Christian himself. His character has changed. He's no longer the pessimistic, scheming ex-scientist who was a doctor of death. He's no longer the lying, confused trainer known as Edge. Christian is a man with resolve. I think you could sum up Edge's character up to this point with the following verse: "The wicked flee when none pursueth, but the righteous are bold as a lion." Up until now, he's been running- fleeing from his past. He would lie and deceive all who crossed paths with him in an effort to 'escape', even when he didn't know anybody was 'chasing' him. This is evident in how he treated his Pokemon up until recently. By embracing who he is and what he's done (No pun intended), he's freed himself from the chains of his past. There's nothing to hide from. He's free. Now, does that mean everything will be honky-dory? Heavens, no! It simply means Christian has realized the errors of his way. This has caused his attitude to shift radically. It's truly an amazing thing. I don't mean to deviate from this review too much, but something similar happened to somebody I love dearly recently. You see, for the past several years, a loved one of mine has been succumbing to desires and immoral things (Edge's dark past). Even when none suspected anything of him, he would hide his tracks and lie to those around him; at times, he would be angry at myself and others for no reason (Edge lying to his naive pokemon). Finally, he reached a breaking point and realized the wrongness of his way. So, he confessed to me about what he'd done. (Edge finally revealing the truth in the previous chapter) In a matter of minutes, his demeanor had changed from that of a weary soul to that of a strong young man. (The Christian we see in chapter 16) The point I'm trying to make with this example is that your characterization is incredibly accurate. Everything I said above really happened. Anything in parenthesis is the parallel that I made. Okay, let me go into something that's not quite so deep. Sounds good? :P What a brilliant way to break through the wall, haha. I suppose it's a good thing Brucie came along! (Although Edge could have just swam under if he'd just stayed with Sana. :P) Speaking of Sana though, I couldn't help but be a /little/ creeped out by the following line: "She wanted his heart as her own." Maybe it'll be hers once she starts calling him Thas Feyera? ;) Oh man... I really, REALLY hope Sana and July will be okay. I know saying something like that doesn't really help you out at all from a review perspective, but I just want to see something go in FAVOR of Christian and Sanaria instead of having the cards constantly stacked against them. :) And who could Commander Celestia be, hmm? Just enough to tickle my brain. You don't want to give out more information? That's fine, I get that, but you're wrong and I hate you. (I don't really hate you!) :P So, Ein's true agenda is finally brought to light. With an army, navy, and phaeton at his command, there is almost nothing to stop him from waging war against the world. I dare say... world domination actually seems /plausible/. That's a scary thought, no? You got me to squirm in my seat when Edge was removing the Reilken Mercurius. Seriously, the prospect of having something constantly pumping a drug into you is quite terrifying, at least for me. I just hate needles, IV's, etc. Still, my discomfort at the thought of such things was overshadowed by the revelation that, well... the thing on his wrist wasn't exactly what we all thought it was. Now let's see, who gave him that again...? I think his name starts with an 'F'... Man, I really freakin' hate Ein. I tell you, Mr Feyera, you've created quite the son-of-a-bitch. He's easy to hate, cunning, and just plain evil. I dare say the cruiser berthed in the harbor is a thing of real terror. The US Navy is just beginning to test primitive rail guns and the results are terrifying. It can fire a slug at speeds up to mach 12 and decimate everything but the largest of carriers. Granted, real life rail guns and RAIL guns from your world operate differently, the power yields seem similar enough. I had an inkling that this chapter was setting up something big. I don't dare call it a filler, but it had a certain vibe that seemed to suggest, "Just wait until you get to the end..." I'm both glad and frustrated to see that I was correct. Wait, what!? "Mister Christian F. West." Christian F. West F. West West You know, I'm still getting used to the change in canon. Luckily I re-read Fractured Unity or else I'd really be scratching my head right now. His birth surname wasn't mentioned in the original draft, was it? For the record though, I think it sounds really strange to call him, "Mister West." As much as I dislike Family Guy, I can't help but think of Mayor Adam West when I hear that name. -_- In my heart, Christian will always be a Feyera. :D Great Chapter, Mr. Feyera! I'm glad to have finally gotten up to speed with your canon and can't wait for more. Ah, what shall be next? More revisions of Fractured Unity? The second chapter of Snow Angels? Chapter 17 of Pristine Embrace? Let it be know that whatever you decide to write, I'll be first in line to read it. Keep up the incredible work, friend! It's always a pleasure to read them! -Write by Faith- |
Write by Faith chapter 15 . 3/2/2013 I’m so, SO sorry it’s taken me almost two months to review this chapter. I’ll send you a message explaining everything in-length. I’m here now, however, and am eager to finally read and review chapter fifteen of Pristine Embrace! Right to Ein, huh? You know, I'm still getting used to reading the story from multiple perspectives, haha. Think about it; up until a few chapters ago, the only perspective we've experienced is that of Christian's or somebody in Christian's company. It's this concentration on ONE person that has allowed you to develop such rich, interesting characters. To be in the head of somebody other than Christian or Sana really mixes things up! But I digress. That's just a small thing I noticed, and it's by no means a bad thing. :) Ein's personality really comes through in the opening of this chapter. Originally, I was going to say his personality 'shines through', but I realized just how inappropriate the word 'shine' is in regards to describing any attribute of Ein. 'Shine' suggest warmth or happy; the only way I can think of describing Ein is 'cold' and 'calculating'. You've created a villain that makes no excuses for his behavior, and those are by far the easiest to hate. Despite the fact that the beginning of this chapter focuses on Ein, I couldn't help but think back to Edge and Sana. Now, you may think that's because I'm a scatterbrain or something like that (and to a certain extent I am), but that's not the case! In this story, there are but two constants beings unshakable in their resolve and personality. Those two people are Ein and Sana. Both are galaxies apart in just about every way possible and are the embodiments of their beliefs -no, their nature. The most significant variable in your story is Edge as he teeters between the iciness of ‘logic’, and the warmth of Sana's emotions (I could have just said emotions, but gosh darn the very THOUGHT of Sana's emotions makes my heart flip in my chest!). Obviously, everybody knows which nature is good and which nature is evil, but us readers haven't had a real strong taste of just how atrocious evil can be until the past few chapters when you started showing some insight into Ein's thoughts. It really makes one shudder in their seat. Anyways, let me get on with reviewing the chapter, no? :) Your explanation for what the Phaeton is exactly is nothing short of brilliant. Truly it is. I’ve read all of the books in the Halo series because, well, I’m a super-nerd but I’m going to make a comparison here. There are several authors who pen for the series. Some of them write what you’d expect somebody with a bachelor’s in fine arts to write, while others write in a style more similar to that of military science fiction. Eric Nylund is a great example of the latter. You see, when I read books written by him the worlds seem real. The technologies seem /real/ even though I know reality couldn’t be any further from the truth. Slipspace drives? MAC cannons? Mjolnir battle armor? The way he describes the technology makes one think, “Well… COULD it work?” That’s the sign of a great author. The point I’m trying to make is that you really showcase a crazy number of skills and writing styles. The Phaeton doesn’t seem like a far-fetched fantasy weapon; it sounds like something I’d expect the military to be testing at some secret base. It seems like it could be REAL. You incorporate all of the emotions and humanity I’d expect from a fine arts author while at the same time crafting technologies that seem as real as the computer in front of me or, in the Phaeton’s case, an immensely powerful weapon. In truth, all forms of entertainment rely on one thing to keep the reader/viewer entertained, and that’s the suspension of disbelief. You maintain that suspension at an incredible level. I feel as though I cannot praise you enough… you truly have a gift. On that note, the possibilities of such a weapon truly are terrifying. Like Ein said, “The sun wherever it's needed…The ability to filter Pokemon from Poké Balls, freeze ARMOS, break communication, cripple transportation, erase computer memory. It's the power to control the development of our world!” I did immensely enjoy the short, “…!” Ein emitted upon seeing Des. Hah! Even one as cold and calculating as Ein must account for unforeseen variables! The conversation that transpired between Jaeger and Ein was fairly eye opening and proved to be a great way to set up the coming scenes and chapters. The ‘Cave of no Return’, huh? ;) Now, back to Edge and Sana! *flips of joy* Gosh, Sana and Edge are really acting like a couple, and I can tell Edge still hasn’t adjusted to it, haha. The flushing and stammering really sets the tone of Edge’s voice! Really though, Edge and Sana’s interaction is just too cute and sweet. You’re going to give me diabetes. July is such a naïve, innocent creature. Gosh… it’s been so long since I’ve read your works because of my personal life. I tell ya’, I missed reading about the gang! They really are such great characters. Brucie really chose a great time to interrupt, no? :P It’s great to see the humanity, or Gardevoir-anity(?), begin to flow from Edge so freely. It’s amazing how Edge and Sana’s bond has grown so much since the first chapter of Pristine Embrace. It’s still surprises me at time when Edge has emotional outburst. One of these days, I’m going to go back and re-read through all of your works in one fell swoop to witness the gradual evolution of his character one chapter at a time. Des sure is a great pal. She may not be the largest Gyarados, but she certainly seems to be the wisest and most patient. :) *URGH!* “Hmm? Movies? But we’re not moving.” Seriously dude… she’s just TOO CUTE. I don’t know how you do it. Do you inject sugar directly into your veins just before writing Sana’s dialogue? Just letting you know, that may kill you but the results are FANTASTIC. :D You know, the thought of Gardevoirs being pioneers never crossed my mind when I read Blossoming Eloquence. Now that you put it into this context… Wow, Gardevoir are more human than one might assume. Jeez… what a somber moment. “No, I’M going to die!” Okay, that’s trivializing the moment, but man I think that’s the darkest moment in this chapter. It’s by no means the darkest moment in your story, but the revelation that Edge’s Pokemon are willing to die for him is pretty significant. And then, everything comes full circle. I knew the yacht had to come into play at some point. I never suspected they’d escape the island on a the PWC. Anybody with any knowledge of the ocean knows it’d be suicidal to try to sail the ocean on one of those. I can’t help but feel Edge is putting way too much faith in Fredrick. It’s like he /wants/ everything to come back to him, like he’s the ultimate good. I suppose it’d be easy to feel that way to somebody who saved your life, but I just don’t know. *Sigh*, if only Edge knew that missile worked EXACTLY like it was supposed to. Heh, one last cute moment before Edge rides off into peril and adventure? I’m cool with that. :P Sana’s vocabulary, while not nearly as large as yours, fits her personality so perfectly! Wormholes? Slipspace? Faster than Light? Nah, it’s called kissing! I’m going to stop talking about that now. Seriously… I could go on raving about such scenes for paragraphs on end. The only problem there is I only have so many characters, and I end up sounding like a broken record. :P It’s about time Edge is completely honest with his Pokemon. No more hidden cards… no more excuses. Boy how he has matured. Not only that, this undoubtedly is going to fuel everybody to work even harder. Not only are they trying to save themselves from capture, they’re also trying to save their friend and companion from the poison that flows through his blood. The moment Sana and Edge share before he departs really is a powerful one. I hope… I REALLY hope it isn’t their last one for a while. I just want to see Edge and Sana happy, at least for a little bit.. :( Snow Angels was like [insert addictive substance of choice here] for me; I couldn’t get enough. I know there has to be a bunch of crap they have to deal with before getting to that point, but I can’t express how much I can’t wait until they get there. What a great way to end the chapter. Once more, we get some insight into what exactly is happening to Edge biologically. You know what I said about how you’re able to maintain the suspension of disbelief while describing the technology used in this story? The same is true for the biological aspects as well. I swear, do you have like… five Master Degrees? Bravo, Mr. Feyera! I’m glad I don’t have to wait for Chapter 16, although I have to wonder what kind of cliff hanger I’m going to be facing come the end. To be honest, I’m expecting progressively worse cliff hangers until either A: They’re sailing away from the island in one piece of B: They’re captured. Gosh I hope it’s option A. :D Once again, I’m sorry for taking so long to review! I hope you enjoy it. :) -Write by Faith- |
XxNeo-ChanxX chapter 16 . 1/21/2013 so fredrick is a tratiorous basterd well then feyera looks like its offical your screwed aw man clifhanger i really really cant wait to see what happens i mean come on that thing was posioning him the whole time god i cant wait for more keep up the good work |
SneakyDevil chapter 16 . 1/19/2013 Weellll Shit |
EliteDog chapter 16 . 1/19/2013 Gotta admit, didn't think the Reilken Mercurius would do that, sure I knew it was a trap but not like that. And don't worry Edge, it only takes 4 hits to sink a battleship. :P Now what do we have here? Some new players joining the game? And one that has now revealed himself. Let's just see where this third party leads us to. And am I the only one who thinks the yacht wont start becasue of the EMP? |
Tagg260 chapter 15 . 1/12/2013 Ooh hoo hoo, Deez ist just gettig besser und besser! There is something so satisfying about seeing someone as shrewd and calculating as Ein being dumbfounded. Which is countered by how depressing it is that someone as intelligent as Edge can't blame anything than himself for all the malfunctions. (does he really believe that the missile missed? come on.) And then you have this lovely dilemma where you see the assumptions both parties are making and how far offf they are, simply hilarious. Hopefully, you'll get your proofing done soon; I'm curious to what will happen when Edge and Despie reach the harbor, and what they'll do when, instead of a yacht, they find a horde of blood-thirsty shadow pokemon and whatever 'obsidian' is. |
SneakyDevil chapter 15 . 1/9/2013 This is the part where the ton of fecal matter hits the overly large oscilating blade. |
EliteDog chapter 15 . 1/9/2013 So... the Phaeton was an EMP? Backtracking, that's always fun right? You did so much work to get out and you think your home-free only to figure out you missed something. Okay wait, teleporting can only be done willingly when they're children... ummm... wa... how does that work? You'd think they would just get better at it as they grow up, I expect this to be explained at one point to satisfy my curiosity Mr. Feyera. :P Anyways, HAPPY 2013! |
XxNeo-ChanxX chapter 15 . 1/8/2013 god i hate Ein he is one crazy bastered |
EliteDog chapter 14 . 12/28/2012 So, what did the Phaeton do? Was it just an EMP or... what? Honestly, I think it's about time one of Edge's team actually stood up to him. He has been in denial and left them in the dark for almost this whole story, especially since Sana came in. I was surprised it was Des though, I really thought Brucie was going to let him have it. But I guess he was more concerned with not falling in the water at that time. ;P |
Write by Faith chapter 14 . 12/26/2012 Friend, I don't know where to begin. All this year, you've given me gift after gift in the form of your literature and our conversations. Now, on Christmas Eve, you've given me yet another gift! How very appropriate! My only regret is that I have nothing to give in return, save for this review. Gah! Mark my words, once I get a little certain something done, you'll be sure to receive one. ;) Anyways, I had to sneak away every fifteen minutes or so on Christmas Eve to read this chapter when you posted it. It took me all day, but it was well worth it! Now that all of the festivities are over, I can finally sit down and give this chapter the review it deserves! In case my review gets cut off like it did last time, I'll just put this now: Thank you for everything, Mr. Feyera! :) Since I actually read through this chapter before reviewing, let me just say it was everything I expected and more. Us readers have been faced with immaculately written action sequences back-to-back. While those never get old with you behind the pen, I can say with certainty that the slower paced, contemplative chapters such as this one are a breath of fresh air and really separate your writings from every other author on this site. Of course, there are also a myriad of other attributes that do so as well such as your deep vocabulary and flawless grammar, not to mention your character and world building skills. All of your skills that I just mentioned fuse together in a beautiful harmony of emotional highs; this chapter is a great example of that. Right from the get-go, we're pulled into the story as Edge tries to figure out just what's going on, and not just on the macro-level, but micro-level as well. Yes, something huge just happened with the firework like missile and while he doesn't neglect that happening, the macro if you will, most of his focus is on the Gardevoir on his lap-the micro-, and rightfully so. Actually, if you consider all things Sanaria might be the Macro event and the Phaeton missile the Micro. That's certainly reliant on perspective, no? The pure intimacy Sanaria and Edge share in the opening paragraphs of this chapter is beautiful, and not just because I've been dying to read a scene such as this one for a while now, but because of how the two of them react to the intimacy. Stroking of one's hair; a soft purr and coo, uncertainty, and concern: /this/ is how a scene displaying intimacy should be done. This is where everybody else (Hey, I'm part of 'everybody' by the way) fails. It's pure; it's real. /And I LOVE it./ You engage all of our sense from touch and sight, to smell and sound. This is just a small, but infinitely important, part of what makes the scene so beautiful and immersive. All of this plays into painting an amazing mental portrait of this scene. I can vividly picture as Sana pulls Edge into a tight hug as they sit atop the PWC, bobbing gently up and down in the bay with nothing but sky blue water encircling them and a display of wondrous colors overhead. You really leave so little to my imagination... hehe. You know where that line's going, so I'll save you some time. ;) And then, Brucie comes onto the scene! After coming to the conclusion that the Phaeton was indeed some form of EMP, I was curious how their Pokeballs would react. If I recall correctly in one of the movies, when the power went out trainers couldn't send their Pokemon out of their balls as a result (I'm pulling this Knowledge from what I read on Bulbapedia; I did not see the movie). It seems entirely realistic that something such as an EMP would overload and damage the balls, thus releasing the Pokemon. It amazes me how true to the canon you stay while crafting your own world. That alone is a skill in itself. I loved both Edge's and Sana reaction to Brucie discovering them; even funnier was Brucie's reaction to seeing the water. Then I read as Edge noticed the "soft mist of blackish tan fear emanating from Brucie's body..." and felt genuinely bad. Your characters are so life-like and believable, even the Pokémon (Sana is a given, of course). Hah! Sanaria is such a comedian! "You're going to really have a party now!?" I can just imagine a very annoyed Gardevoir saying such a thing as the chaos of having a Gyarados and Gloom suddenly appear in the middle of a 'moment' happens. I was excited when I saw there was going to be a 'group meeting', so to speak. It's been a while since Edge had to lie to his Pokemon, I mean... they all conversed. As I've made clear in my reviews, I've been waiting for Des to appear. I didn't think it'd be in such a manner though! Wow, is she one smart girl. I like that; while Brucie isn't completely naive and July believe anything Edge tells her, Des is truly the most intelligent Pokemon in Edge's possession. Heck, I'd argue that she could be just as smart as Sanaria. Her southern/Texas accent it pure gold! I have no idea how you manage to get such lines. Did you ever live in Texas, haha? I mean, it sounds so genuine. It's exaggerated no-doubt, but that's what makes her character so charming. You must delve deeper into her past at some point. The part regarding the Reilken Mercurius, while short, does raise quite a few questions. I wonder what's happening to it? What's happening to Edge? Of course, if anybody would bring attention to their current situation, it would be Sana. I do say, what a devilish girl! :D July's naivety only makes Edge's lapse of memory even funnier; what a web of lies he's weaved, no? There is a LOT of emotional tension in the ensuing scene. This is Des's time in the spotlight, and boy was she a star. July performs a great job as a relief person, 'dancing on the taut nylon seat...'. Not only that, she pushes the conversation even further. I love how everybody's dynamic within a scene fits together like clockwork. One comment leads to another, which leads to another, which leads to Edge openly and unwittingly admitting to being part of Sana's species. Oops. Oh, how I laughed as Edge made the revelation of how he'd just slipped mentally. I really don't know who to feel bad for. July for being so innocent? Edge for being in such a position? Brucie for being so close to the water/being lied to? Des for being on the receiving end of Edge's negative emotional outburst? You know... I'll just say I feel bad for everybody. Except maybe Sana; she seems to be having the time of her life right now, haha. :P It'd take a LOT of guts to call a Gyarados a 'big fish' to her face. I mean, that's like calling... I can't even think of an apt comparison. It's just an AWFUL idea. Then, to have an active argument with one? Truly, emotions are running Edge right now, and they're leading him into the abyss of destruction. I don't know what else you'd call an enraged Gyarados. The scene depicting Sanaria sucking Edge's lifeforce -emotion- from him sent a shiver down my spine. It serves as a reminder that Sana has a lot of power of Edge, some of it quite terrifying. I'm not saying the action wasn't warranted, but my goodness was it scary. I remember once when I was sick, my airways constricted in such a manner that I couldn't breathe at all; what I felt then, absolute horror, is what I associate Edge feeling during this scene. To top it all off, Brucie was constantly in the back of my mind; I kept thinking: "What if he falls off? Is he going to fall off?" It amazes me how fluidly and quickly you can change the tone of a scene; I can't even point out when this scene went from dealing with the emotional tightrope between Edge and Sana to the two previously mentioned people bickering about who released the Pokemon. Kudo's to you for making the transition so smooth. I mean, that's nothing NEW, but I felt like pointing it out, haha. You know, I think this is the first time in your story that you mentioned a real-life animal: guppies. That, I might add, is by no means a bad thing. It's one thing to have nothing but Pokemon on land, but the Sea is FAR too large to only contain the dozen or so water-type Pokemon. There must be something lower on the food chain; if you're going to incorporate non-Pokémon and non-human life forms, then the Ocean would be the place to do it. It's a small note, but I feel worth mentioning. You know, I kind of got sad when I read about Sana wanting to touch Edge's heart but inability to do so without causing as feedback fall. I don't know why... but it just did. Anyways... So, the cat's out of the bag -officially that is- about the source of Edge's abilities. I can only picture what a wide-eyed Gyarados looks like, especially one with a Southern accent! Getting past that, I would be absolutely terrified if I was Brucie. All of the Pokeballs are fried and they're stranded in the middle of the Ocean (Oops, I mean Bay! Sorry July :P). Then, Sana calling Edge 'Doc'? Aw man, stick a carrot in her mouth and call her bugs! She certainly has a similar mischievous personality as the aforementioned rabbit. ;) I think one of the most powerful parts of this chapter is the last eighth or so. Des and Edge's conversation was heartfelt and made me smile, but differently than when he and Sana interact. It's the kind of smile you get one somebody resolves to stop doing something bad. However, what overshadowed (maybe too strong of a word, but I can't think of anything else) Des and Edge's conversation was Edge's questioning of why Sana had to get Lorelei involved. It seemed /genuine/. That's a word I've used a lot this review, and rightfully so. A lot has been put onto our plates this time around, and it's been delicious. With only a few character left, I can say this. Bravo. You've written yet another amazing, beautiful chapter. It brought me great joy to read. I can only hope that your Christmas was as wonderful as your writing. Have a great day, friend. I'll be sure to review your most recent story after I get some sleep, that is to say in around six hours or so! :D -Write by Fait |
