What a really lovely characterization of those two and their dynamic at this point in time. I love your Peter voice. He's completely captivated by Olivia, but he knows that he has to be careful in what he says and does in their relationship. I loved this line: "She was the only one he couldn't risk running off."

Throughout S1, I'm sure Peter was more than aware of the attraction and more between them, he just knew that Olivia was nowhere near ready for any sort of blurring of the lines between them.

I love how you capture the newness of their relationship for him - she's not the usual troubled type he tries to save (think Tessa, from early S1, involved in that abusive relationship and with Big Eddie and his crowd), she constantly surprises him, he can't just completely be a smart-aleck or flirt and has to be a bit careful in what he chooses to say so as not to break this fragile friendship or whatever it is between them at this point.

I really enjoy the descriptiveness in your writing. There's something almost lyrical to it. I love the metaphorical differences you pinpoint between Rachel and Olivia and how it morphed into him thinking that he was the wind and she was the rock (which is funny because I think Olivia comes to see it the other way eventually - Peter starts off as this unsteady, unstable guy but eventually becomes her "rock" which naturally fits in with the actual meaning of his name).

Oh this is so nice! Short but really, really cute. I think this one's in-line with Peter and Olivia; they would have also acted like that in season 1. You know, that thing they did when it's obvious they're attracted to each other but both try so damn hard in denying it. I loved them during that stage! It made me frustrated but the result was worth the wait! Hahaha :D

I wish there's a sequel for this one. I'm quite excited for the development of this fic. That is, if you're planning to write a sequel :p
