i honestly cannot even fathom the right words to tell you how wonderful this story was. it was so completely beautiful, i found myself tearing up at the sheer LOVE that sherlock experienced for john. the way you described it... just wow. and the fact that you did it all from sherlock's first person? not an easy thing to do but you did it brilliantly. he was so in character and i loved how he didn't turn into a whole different person after john, he was still himself, if not a better version of it. unbelievable written. to quote the show, you've turned sherlock holmes from a great man, to a good one using the power of your bloody FANTASTIC writing. well done. best story i've read so far :)

I really really love this. The line 'Married to my work, and I was having an affair with an army doctor.' is amazing. Sherlock is just so fantastically in character. Just wow.

As I rule I never read a story written in the first person point-of-view. They, such stories, are poorly done and fail to capture my attention let alone my imagination. That of course does little to explain why I have read to the end of your story without pause well into the night. It is simply because your piece shows nothing of the common lack of character development and what not. You have captured the essence of Sherlock, as few truly can, and while remaining true to his character you developed his relationship with the good doctor.

I am amazed. This has been quite a delightful experience, and an all together good read. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your dedication and talent that produced this; I am quite sure I will be reading this again and again.
