I have the BIGGEST grin on my face. I was a little wary when I saw that the present was the hat because I thought it was going to be cheesy from that point on, but I was extremely surprised and happy when I saw a completely original and intruiging plotline for the rest of the story. Don't change a thing about this - now I want a top hat, 'cause I know Jefferson won't be far behind! XD

Very nice! I don't ship Mad Swan, but I honestly kind of enjoyed it here. You pulled off the interaction between them very well while keeping them in-character, which I think is quite impressive!

To offer some constructive advice, I would suggest proof-reading this a bit more - there are some mistakes with grammar and punctuation. Also, you occasionally switch between past tense and present tense (moving from "she was" to "she is").

Despite the few technical problems, this is a great and very enjoyable story! Great job! :)
