I cannot tell you how much I love this. There isn't just one reason... I guess I like how Francis keeps his promise, and I like the overall mood of the story! I'm watching a WWI documentary with my sis, bits she's going to the washroom, so I read this.

I believe it's perfect. It's perfect the way it is. No need for a sequel or anymore. You can still do one if you want, and I'll read it, but I don't think you need one.

This is awesome :D it's hard to find fanfiction about World War One. Mostly it's about World War Two, and while I enjoy those, World War One fics are gems :)

For some reason, I love the part where you wrote about the soldier who was shot. It was so small and almost insignificant, but somehow, it was really touching too. I think it's because the officer is the one who killed the soldier... but he couldn't help it! After all, if he didn't, they would probably all be killed.

That's beautiful. I loved the ending. It doesn't need more and it wrapped it up quite nicely. I really love it.
