Guest chapter 1 . 1/8 Muuuuch better ending then the one we saw! |
etm chapter 1 . 4/25/2009 I'm questing for a better ending of M&D than those horrendous Seasons of 4 & 5! Your brief version of the M&D finale...although a bit cliche'(apologetically wincing) in one or two parts...I still fell for it hook, line and sinker! Your tale represents the yearning need for a decent resolve for these adored characters! Your story is beyond better than Moonlighting's Seasons 4 & 5 put together...those writers should have quit while they were ahead! Dipesto's ending ditty was kool! thanks for the alternative! :) |
Sharo chapter 1 . 4/9/2008 If only they would've had you in the writing team 20 years ago... So much better ending! Very sweet. |
Aura chapter 1 . 4/20/2002 So to leave on happy note, let me start with a small critique: in the middle you had a bit of exposition that just wasn't necesary. If we care enough to read fanfic, then we've watched the show and know the story. Now on to more pleasant matters... Cute story! Well written and expressive. I'm not of the camp that says Moonlighting was destroyed by Our Heroes falling into bed together, but nevertheless, the last season could have been handled better. Your story presents a pleasant alternative. And bonus points for precluding the "car wreck" that was the Annie arc. |
Maggy chapter 1 . 2/6/2002 Fabulous. Characters, dialogue, quirky writer-references- you've got it all! I especially love that Miss DiPesto gets the last word! Great job! |
melanie ferguson chapter 1 . 8/25/2001 all i can say is aaahhhh. and loved the DiPesto rhyme |
Terry Knowles chapter 1 . 2/9/2001 Sweet, very sweet. And that was quite a long dream sequence! LOL Nice job. :) |
Christine chapter 1 . 9/28/2000 Very funny! I kinda wish it had happened this way after all! |
Sarah chapter 1 . 9/28/2000 that was...interesting. too bad that didn't actually happen |
Nevermore chapter 1 . 9/28/2000 I have only one thing to say - you had better have a damned good excuse for not being around when the t.v. writers went on strike back in the day. If someone had had the foresight to see the problem that was created on that show, and to deal with it quickly, such an ingenious story as this might never have been needed. Anyway, I certainly liked this more than the way it actually happened (something that still angers me ten years later). I especially liked Agnes' poem at the end - nice touch. |
LizD chapter 1 . 9/28/2000 Great, Great! - I really like the idea of them ending on top and together. I agree that the show started down hill with the exit to Chicago, however there were several scenes with David & Maddie (and some of Bruce's best dramatic work) that I would have missed if it ended there (A Trip to the Moon, Father Knows Last, Fetal Attraction leap to mind). The last show that I thought was great was "Between a Yuk and a Hard Place." (with the exception of the last chase scene). You could transplant this "episode" to the middle of that one and I would be happy. Thank again for a great alternate ending. |
QT Roo chapter 1 . 9/28/2000 Im so glad I was able to help post this. This is a wonderful story! Only if the writers had been that ingenius...Only if...~Lissa |
John Dorsey chapter 1 . 9/28/2000 I wrote this story because I was extremely unhappy with the fourth and fifth seasons of Moonlighting. This is my own way of resolving this and giving the series the rightful ending it deserved to have. It's not a long story, but I believe that every Moonlighting fan will enjoy it. |
