This was a lot of fun! I really liked your portrayal of Jack -I thought it was very in-character. I could see the insecure little girl under all that bravado; that was quite touching. And I'm glad Shepard's mother got along so well with her!

I think it's quite plausible that, if Shepard's mother was like this, he would be attracted to Jack.
