I kind of suspected that the army would turn out to be Republic troops, but your execution of this revelation was so well done that I was still engaged even if I saw it coming.

That was an excellent end to the chapter. I certainly hope you are building up to a tender moment.

I loved the meditation scene and it's references back to episode 1. very well done

I know next to nothing about the clone wars cartoon, but this chapter paints a beautiful portrait that I feel like I know both characters very well.

Ventress was so character it brought a tear to my eye, and as a ventrobi shipper I'm very pleased as well :3
I always wondered what happened after they escaped Maul and Oppress and this is the perfect story to follow it!
The only complaint I have was Obi-wan. I'm not saying he was out of character but he is usually more playful towards Asajj. I'm talking about from the show because in the comics that's a different story. I mean I can understand maybe he wasn't in the mood since he was so beaten up haha
But otherewise seriously you should have written for the show XD

Wonderful, wonderful story. Your writing style is well-crafted, so stylish, your word preferences are thought-provoking. The characterizations for both of them are so good that sometimes I felt like you're actually "hurting" the canon with their awesomeness.
I think I'll need to give a better review, because there are tons of stuff that are needs to be spoken out, but for now, I'll just say; loved it, and I hope to see a sequel, especially about the future when Obi-Wan sows a seed in the memory of her in the Tattoine, in the desert, to see what would become out of it. I read that's what happened in a book, which I don't remember its name, and but this story gives a good reason for the background why he felt such a need, or why he wanted to do it.

Excellent work, thanks for writing and sharing with us. It's a privilege to read such well-written fan-fiction about these two character.

It's interesting how during their ordeal they had to trust each other, even though it was tenuous. Obi-Wan even opened himself up to her so that she could heal him...that was trust in a major way, especially knowing what she had done to him on Jaabim...or at least trust in the force, and desperation because of the impending battle.

I wonder how Obi felt when he realized he didn't have to be healed by her dark arts...it wasn't a battle for him after all, perhaps for her.

But if he was close to death, perhaps it was necessary.

It does not surprise me that he let her go...I saw that coming. After everything they had gone through, I didn't expect that he could just automatically return to cold duty on her...he was thinking perhaps that that was for "another day".

And of course, this shocked her. Forgiveness is a hard thing to fathom for someone who is not forgiving.

Grinned at her enjoyment of him as he rose from the pool and dressed. ;)

Now while awaiting another update, I'm off to find another hidden treasure in your repertoire.

So, once again, while waiting for an update on your current story, I went in search of stories of yours I haven't read yet.

I've seen this story several times, but wasn't sure I wanted to read a Ventress story, but I finally dove in...

And once again, it's another angst filled story with hurt Obi, a female villain who has a hate/lust fantasies going on concerning Obi, and delights in making him uncomfortable with her lecherous thoughts about him...

And their close proximity makes this even more uncomfortable.

This is another dangerous harrowing situation for Obi-Wan...and just how deep into the ice did they fall anyway? And just how close may they have to get in order to stay warm and survive?

Yeesh, another harrowing thought. ;)

As you know I didn't see much of TCW, what happened to Obi in "Revenge" and is this story something thing happened in the show and you are elaborating on, or is this your own "epilogue" to that show?

Either way, I'm loving it. I'm not sure if Ventress's fascination with Obi's body is because of all his injuries, or because he's just so hot, or both. ;)

So eloquent, so gripping. I simply love your story, it has the promise of a sequel about my favorite pair.
