Wow what a truthful angle on the doubt and guilt that these two seemed to share in thoughts and facial expressions, but the show never chose to humor. I can see exactly how Andy's fears affected them in the long run and I hope they actually get the chance to address them in the hopes of understanding each other and trying to fix some problems that have wedged them apart. While I love your fluff too, this was excellent, thought-provoking and deep-seeded. I really enjoyed it!

I know that no one is surprised by this, but I dig the angst, and from this, it's pretty clear that no one is immune to the foreboding we're all feeling concerning this season. While I'm sure that things will be looking up shortly, I feel that the drama/miscommunication between these two in the last two episodes is only the tip of the iceberg. Things are about to get very interesting.

As always, excellent writing. The image of Andy near the window, shirt slipping off her shoulder is so vivid in my mind, and you described it simply, but beautifully. Of course, it was only the beginning of what was a very well-thought out oneshot. :) Great job.

Love the idea that they've been connected since the very beginning, how she wormed her way into his heart with her laugh.

I have a feeling there will be a number of times this year where it would be nice if they could just 'be' without the added pressures of job, partnership, etc.

"We have a fresh start, sure, but it's complicated by everything that's happened in the last two years. Everything we've said and felt and the stupid mistakes I've made…" I think that's why the last episode seems so painfully slow because we have all witnessed these last two years and it's not all been stupid mistakes, there's been a lot of caring and a lot of history that has already built it into something huge even though it's just begun. Love that he clarifies with a "we've made" - they're a team...and a good one at that.

And this part was so good and so true: In the moment, he wants to tell her a lot of things. That he doesn't know how to be open, but for the first time, he wants to be. That his biggest fear is not angry words and heated arguments, but the idea that his walls are impenetrable. That he's spent so many years building them up, he doesn't have a goddamn clue how to tear them down. That she'll give up, stop trying, and he'll have no one to blame but himself. When it comes to this, I agree; I really don't think he knows what to do. I don't think he's been at this place before where he wants to change his ways and now it's scary trying to figure out how and hoping that he actually can.

I really do think he wants it to work. He may have 'no idea' but I think that is why he's going slow; he really doesn't want to screw it up.

I'm hoping that stay becomes a recurring theme with them. That no matter what happens they feel it as "both a promise and a plea". That in the end they always want to be there and always want the other there with them. Great ending.

Seriously, your writing is just so amazing, depressing, beautiful, sweet/sad and a million other things that's definitely made me craving yet another story, so please publish again soon!

I love all your rookie blue stories, "fifteen's footnotes" is amazing and all your work is probably my favourite for rookie blue. I love this, I can feel the tension, and I think you have summed up and beautifully written all the emotions all the possible road blocks in their relationship. God, I can even put this into words, but this piece is amazing. I really really enjoyed it and you..you get the characters. Wonderful amazing and phenomenal job as always!Looking forward to more!

The "we - plural" line - I love how Sam corrects her! They are in it together.

I feel like many people discuss Andy's walls and her tendency to run and ignores Sam's walls - thank you for pointing out his walls and how they might not come down so easily.

And of course...love the "Stay" line.

Kidding aside, a well written, genuine look into the feelings of our Sam and Andy. He has been on this job a long time and very set in his ways, probably difficult for him to approach a real relationship. Add to that the fact that he has been in love with Andy well...for way too long.

Then we have Andy who has been trying to trick herself into wanting anything but what she REALLY wants and now she has it, gonna be some challenges there as well.

Good lord, those promos are cryptic! It is driving me nuts. This was so good! It was just so real...if that makes any sense. Anywho, I love your work! Keep it comin' :)
