Well, the awkwardness was good, but I must say the ending was a bit unrealistic. And I prefer fluff over big kiss scenes. But that's just me personally.

I'm glad they finally admitted their crushes. Personally, I think passionate kissing is a bit much for nine year olds, but I know there are some kids out there who would disagree. It's your story, you should write it however you want.

This is a great story, just that I don't think that getting hit in the head during your average game of kickball could cause amnesia. I've been hit in the head many times before the way you described, sometimes even with a soccer ball or basketball, and it doesn't even hurt that bad, let alone cause amnesia. But Ikow this is fiction so it's ok. Also, try using apostrophes in your writing, such as I'm instead of I am, or we're instead of we are.

Loved it! Very well done! It's killing me waiting for the new chapters though haha :) Keep going with it. Personaly I don't like the ones where they're in high school, the just don't appeal to me, its good to see one where they're in grade school. (I'm Irish so I don't have a very good grasp on the american school system!)
