Egad, this is terrific. And I love your Hawke—half James Bond, half Hawkeye Pierce. I wish, I wish that weeing on Meredith's desk was an option in the game. One could even potentially gain strength from such a just act—like Dog in DAO! :) Loved it.

The dialogue here is fantastic. Very natural while giving clear characterization. And funny. I love this flirty, roguish Hawke! :blushes: So wish I had a picture of Hawke running through the Gallows with only a templar helmet, his bits jostling everywhere. But my own imagination is coming up with some… striking images.

Your writing style is gorgeous. The descriptions are evocative, and you have a clever plot that makes me wish this were part of a larger story. You can even make Hawke’s less than heroic treatment of Meredith’s office artistic. :D I had quite a giggle over that. No wonder the rest of Thedas thinks of Fereldans as barbarians.

Love the idea that Meredith was seeing some financial gain from the creation of the tranquil. Gives a very plausible reason for why she became as cruel as she did, beyond just "She's a big ol' meany!"

Such a fun exchange with all of the friends - everyone was very well written. The best stories, I think, are the ones in which the characters sound like themselves, not always an easy thing to do.

Love the idea of Isabela and Varric writing stories. With a Hawke such as yours, no doubt they'll have more material than they know what to do with!
