beautiful story

I cant believe I havent leave a review for this one. To said it's amazing is understatement. This is heartwarming and beautiful fic. You brilliantly keep their character, and make the simple thing becomes meaningful. I can really feel the atmosphere around them, even I can feel Kenshin's inner turmoil when Kaoru gave birth to Kenji.
I see Kenshin's transformation after Jinchuu arc, where he has been more forward to Kaoru, and always initiate the first move. But he always make his show of affection subtle, not a bold one like saying I love you. Everyone knows he loves Kaoru even though he doesnt say that.
Sometimes Im getting irritated by some fics that portray Kenshin as baka softspoken rurouni who doesnt know how to express his feeling, or Kaoru who was too violent and impulsive. Kenshin isnt like that, not after Jinchuu or probably before Kyoto saga since he hugged Kaoru so tight for farewel. Nor Kaoru is a merely violent girl, bcoz she definitely has matured along the storyline in the manga.
I am happy that your Kenshin and Kaoru here are perfect. Thank you :)

My most favorite chapter. I love how eloquent and real you can be with your words, and I love, firstly and foremost, how effortless and true to the character, your portrayal of Kaoru and Kenshin in a RK world after Jinchuu affairs have happened. When I read this, I have this sense like they are a legendary, magical star-crossed lovers who fights arms and legs to be in each other's arms, so that each moment after the union, how small and seemingly unimportant, is completely precious and vital and deeply treasured. And they are, but your writing is so on-point and completely real, that this come through as senses and feelings, rather than just a point in a story. I love that once in a while I read a fic so good, it feels like they do the original story justice, and belonged up there as an extension of the original manga, and it could be no more 'right'. And yours is in that category for me.

So thank you, thank you for such beautiful ending for Rurouni Kenshin. It's been over a decade since RK is actively written and celebrated, but fics like this remind me over and over again why I stay in this fandom for so long, and willing to scroll over thousands and thousands of fics just to find a gem.

I hope you would write more Kenshin x Kaoru in the future...but even not, I wish you well for everything.

I really enjoy stories which capture the relationship of Kaoru and Kenshin and you did this expertly. I liked the fact that you kept them in character, I especially loved how Kaoru kept a bit of her naiveté. Well done!
