Allstarall chapter 1 . 8/16/2018 U did good |
Father of Understanding chapter 1 . 12/25/2016 I think you did fantastic. You certainly portrayed how stupid and flawed the reasoning was back then. :) |
GenericUsername01 chapter 1 . 12/26/2015 This is a really awesome story and it totally makes sense that America would have been learning magic but stopped after Salem. Historically, that was one of the first times the colonists decided not to use traditional English white magic to solve their problems- because all magic was bad and they had left that behind in the old world. This only furthered the cultural disconnect between them and England, so basically your headcanon is actually a very important, accurate historical turning point. Also, don't worry, you did great writing England |
Kimashi Lejhidz chapter 1 . 10/30/2015 It's nice how you pictured the trials: they were never to prove one innocent. All the schemes behind just to accuse someone that they didn't like to something they weren't. And yeah, I agree with your idea about why America couldn't do magic even if England and Russia could. As you said, it was short, but it was a smooth read, great job. |
NA chapter 1 . 3/25/2015 Very well written! I loved it! Will there be a second chapter because I think you could continued along the same theme. |
Youngbountygirl chapter 1 . 4/22/2014 I love this story. I love your points in the Salem Witch Trial and how out of control it was. I actually do believe in a Native America too, though more of a "father" Native America or at least a grandma, since Canada mentioned having a grandma. I found the witch's treat part really weird, especially sticking a needle in the mark. I mean that doesn't always work with making the blemish bleed, that includes moles. It depends on how deep the blemish is. Some parts of the skin are thick too, especially if you have callas on your hands or something. I feel sorry for all those innocent people that died from the Salem Witch Trials. |
Lilting Lithium chapter 1 . 4/8/2013 Oh hush you, this story was extremely well written. |
GillytheAWESOME chapter 1 . 12/24/2012 I learned about the Salem Witch Trials...in depth, I'm in 8th grade too! They showed roughly 150 8th grade (ages 12-13!) students a video that goees into depth about the Salem Witch Trials. I am forever scared, so poor Amelia got it worse and experienced the whole thing! She was on trial! America's justice system was wack to say the least, and I was told England wasn't even aware of the issue! I like the story though. I was actually close to crying... |
Ivegone chapter 1 . 9/28/2012 U should make a sequel where Amelia pays a visit to the village and freaks them all out by seeing she was still alive. Like, they would all be like, "Holy Crap, she's immortal!" |
MewTama-ChanKick chapter 1 . 6/3/2012 Amazing! |
cafeanna chapter 1 . 5/30/2012 That actually makes a lot of sense. Why can Amelia's 'father figure', who she already adopted a nack for military and navy for, do magic when Amelia can't? Salem witch trials. I have a book, where it say if you look in a mirror on Holloween at midnight and brush your hair they face of your husband will appear. . .for very many reasons, I don't test that. |
Meh chapter 1 . 5/29/2012 Omg I've always wanted someone to write something like this and this is just great XD |
Nightwitch chapter 1 . 5/29/2012 I wish there were more stories like this. The thought of the Salem witch trials are scarry. 320 years after it happened go you. It was good. |
KitakLaw chapter 1 . 5/29/2012 Good job on this story - I'd read "The Crucible" before, so I recognized a lot of the references. The Salem Witch Trials, in my opinion, are a good example of what mass hysteria could do to a community - not that I don't believe black magic/demons/etc. don't exist (I do), but when it becomes really clear that the whole thing as a cover-up and a means to escape punishment for something else, it starts looking rather suspicious. And when even other forms of Christianity (like Catholicism) were considered to be of the devil in that community...anything that's not what they're used to would look like that as well. I liked how you added the Hetalia characters to this, too - I'd seen such stories with Fem!England before, but not Fem!America. And sometimes, I can't help but wonder what a group like the Puritans would have thought of the nations' immortality, now that you mention it. Would it have been attributed to God or Satan? Something worth thinking about. |
