I don't get why you apologised for the angst, though it was more like minor drama. Felt totally appropriate and doesn't gloss over that Naruto had a shit childhood and has insecurities because of it.

I don’t really want to see Sasuke bashing in this story - his actions right now make sense because of his background with itachi and mizuki’s grooming, but I hope he will slowly develop as a character. His jealousy of Naruto is not unfounded, as he has a lot of potential, and will put the work in, but he didn’t get the help naruto got from ebisu. Hopefully kakashi will actually teach them something. Sasuke just needs to get his priorities straight, ie. don’t focus on power and jealousy so much.

Definitely a very good fanfic. Interesting abilities and enough deviation from cannon to make it interesting, yet not so much as to make it seem completely different. A shame it was never finished
