I've never seen reality meets fan fiction done better. Your Stephanie's voice is just perfect as Evanovich's Stephanie, and yet not.

Clever story! I totally agree about the over the top negative/abusive stories. It makes me wonder how the writers can even be "fans" of the books. Just because they prefer one guy more they make the other as evil and unlikable as possible so the one they like can rescue and helpless damsel in distress.

I enjoyed your fic! I'm team babe all the way but there is NO way morelli would be abusive. Just like I hate the fics where Helen disowns Stephanie. Joe has helped/saved Stephanie just as many times as Ranger. Even when they were broken up various times he checked in on her and helped her out. And Helen ran over the rabbit to save her. I hate the way most babe fics portray those two and avoid them like the plague.

Very clever! I really enjoyed this! I fell in love with these characters and enjoy it when authors keep them authentic. Of course some poetic license happens in fan fiction but I can't understand for the life of me the hate for Joe! It seems so contrary to what is in the actual books.

This story is really great. I'm only a couple books into the series, but I've already developed an opinion on who I want Stephanie to end up with, and it's Joe. But anyway, just wanted to say that this story is really well written, the plot is great, and I loved it. :)

Y'know, I've read plenty of the "blank meets fanfiction" before, but this is one that actually is believable. Most are just annoying to read and honestly not so well written. But, obviously, this does not fit that description. :D

Anyway, sorry to make this shorter than I'd like it to be, not to mention late, by I'm using my sister's iTouch as my computer is being dumb. Yet again.

But really truly honestly, great job! Hee. I liked that you had Steph be a real person rather than a charactor reading about her own character. If that makes sense whatsoever.

Cool! I like both of the male lead characters and have been pretty distressed at how Joe can be portrayed. For me, the most irritating character of the triangle is Stephanie. Both the guys have grown and matured in the books. The same can't be said of Stephanie. That and the poor plotting of the later books (some fanfic stories are WAY better plotted) is the reason I no longer buy the books; I get them from the library instead. Then I don't feel I've been ripped off.

Soooo I'm probably the only person who is not going to say that you are so brave for posting this story. Because you know it is just a stroy and then I could say that this extrem joe haters are brave to for posting their storys.

Instead I'm saying I like your story for the idea and the way you wrote it. It has nice flowing style. Also it was kind of mature.

I actually was't aware that their where this kind of hate storys going on (mostly because I know how to look for cupcake storys. But still...). I know of the imature simple ones (they are never going to die out no whater what fandom).

Anyway intressting for making it kinda real live. I nearly wasn't quite sure in the end, you know XD

Very creative story! Interesting POV. I imagine it's how celebrities feel when they read stories about themselves in the 'National Enquirer' or some other form of media.

You had a lot of guts to write and post this fic. More than I did. And it seems like it's gone over remarkably well from the reviews I've read. There's always going to be haters, but hey, you DID warn them in the Author's Note. If they read it regardless and didn't like it, it's their own fault. All the haters can go read something else and take their hatin' elsewhere. :P

I really liked this. My favorite part was this scene:

I considered this. "They're almost funny if you don't take them too seriously."

Joe watched my carefully. "You think we should read some of them on purpose? Like a date night?"

"Well, it wouldn't be the only thing we'd do." I batted my eyes at Joe in an overly seductive manner. "We could eat pizza at the same time."

"And birthday cake."

I nodded. "Birthday cake would almost make them seem okay."

Joe tussled my hair. "Birthday cake makes everything okay for you, Cupcake."

hehe! Cake! Yum. I like cake. And it's obvious Stephanie loves cake too. lol. They should have pie as well! Pie is delicious!(sorry. It's lunch time and I'm hungry and food is pretty much all I can think about. lol.)

Cute, cute story. I hate the way some depict Joe in their fics, their hatred is just irrational. The real books are written as both men being good guys. I really doubt that JE ment for some readers to think Joe was a child molester or for others to conjur up reasons why Ranger said he may be sexually sick. Anyway, I'm glad poor Joe got to say his peace & get the girl in this story!

I loved it! I am a babe with nothing against Morelli, and it irritates me how often he gets portrayed as a monster (Stephanie's mom, too!) I laughed out loud at the part where Ranger sobs all night at her bedside. it's amazing how far from the actual series some of the characters are painted, and I think JE would rather shoot herself in the foot than portray any of them in the way they're presented here on the site! Even though I lean towards Ranger, I have long accepted that it wasn't going to happen in the books. I don't read the books to find out who she's with, I read them for the humor and the (recently questionable) great mystery.
