I have a question, I know that the story says "Modern Human Version" but are we supposed to be thinking of them as animals or humans? I just want this off my chest

Really like this I also can image what lion king was to my childhood and turning it into something like reality. It seems like the characters are real people. So..Thanks for making my childhood come to life :)

Hi, I really liked these modern rendition of one of my favourite disney movies.
I found the story really great except the military background made me feel a little uneasy.
However I didn't understand a thing : In which country these story is settled ? (I mean America, Europe, Asia, ...).
I'm forward to read the sequel, bye, bye, bye.
