I love that you ended it with Leck, who was the origin of almost every problem in the series. This reminds me of Bellamew's line about how Leck was blind to what mattered; he couldn't recognize the true threat, Katsa, when she was right there in front of him.

You have very nice descriptions of Lienid here. It's hard not to fall in love with a beautiful seaside.

I really like this one because I think it touches on the PTSD that Katsa likely would've had from following Randa's orders for so long, and it shows that she had to fight herself, more than anyone else, to become a better person.

What a smart metaphor you've written between shattering stone and breaking people. This drabble works so well for Bellamew, who I've always felt was an overlooked character.

I loved this chapter. I always thought Bitterblue and Giddon would've been good together (she needs someone more stable than Saf), and I was disappointed we didn't see their ship actually sail.

This is very touching, although I do take some exception to "short of giving birth herself." I didn't get the impression that Fire really wanted children before she came to love Hanna, and as a Monster, I think she always understood that the line needed to end with her. I don't think having a baby could've made her happier than becoming Hanna's mother.

This is a really perfect, creative take on Katsa's birthday. Raffin is so caring here, and this little gesture speaks volumes about the friendship between them.

What a powerful drabble. I love the contrast between Brigan going off to war vs. coming home.

Poor Darby. I'd never considered what a burden his Grace would be. I love that Bitterblue is one of the few who understands - a great show of her compassion and wisdom.

As a cat-lover, this is so very sweet. A wonderful tribute to the only thing that Death loved besides his books, and the only thing that could ever bring out his nice side.

Oh, this is so cute! I love Saf turning Bitterblue into Disney princesses via her dreams. I wonder if he went through every movie? A dream about a magic carpet ride or being a mermaid would be pretty cool.

This chapter is so sweet and funny, and it captures Helda's caring nature so well. As much as they might complain, I'm sure Katsa and Bitterblue would miss it if she ever did stop worrying.

I love the final line of this one; it's a good implication that now that Fire has found people who love her for more than just her beauty, she can begin to love herself in a new way.

I think Ashen's strength really comes through here. She spent much of her adult life on "pointless wishes," but when she saw Po, she knew what to say.
