This was so perfectly written, and I just love the background you gave their parents and just how you explain Mako's personality so so well. I thought every moment here was deserved and paced, and I love how Mako had zero idea that Korra loved him. A lot of cute, awkward moments between them that felt true to their core. What can I say, except job well done.

See, this has been my problem with the series - how they portrayed Mako's character. He was debuted as this calm, cool-under-fire, broody kind of guy. He was forced to grow up after his parents died, he's very protective of his little brother, and he ensures Bolin's happiness before his own. Mako would NEVER go googly eyes over some girl he just met, he wouldn't be quick to date her, and he wouldn't lead two girls on - never mind two-timing. I'll say this before, and I'll keep on saying it... MAKO'S CHARACTER WAS NOT LEGIT AFTER EPISODE THREE. There's so much about this series I despise and disregard, but how fucked up they made poor Mako, that's what pisses me off the most!

Which is why I applaud true Mako fans who also sees the error done to his character, and write these beautifully done stories that portray who Mako truly is. It's sad when fans write a character SO MUCH BETTER than the creators. Just sad.

I liked that you wrote about Mako believing in true love. It was so romantic how he and Korra ended up confessing :)

This is a lovely story. I really wish this had happened instead of the love triangle but oh well. I really enjoyed reading every word of it.

This was so wonderful! And completely adorable. Every single moment of this was perfect. From the story of the Fabulous Bending Brothers' parents, to the pillow fight, to Mako's awkwardness, to the emphasis on friendships, and right up until that goodbye of theirs. Dare I say it...a part of me wishes that the show had gone along this line, instead of the pointless love triangle(?). All in all, I really enjoyed this fic. Well done! :D

This was so adorable! I love the way you wrote it and I like the AU a lot! It'd be so much easier than the love triangle mess. But I guess that's the creators' own take own the idea that love is hard when you're young.

But anyways, I really liked this and I think you did a fabulous job!
