"Danny comes out to his parents, they throw him away, Danny goes to Vlad" is a fairly common story here. Rarely, though, do they make me purr like this one...

Overall, I would say you have a good set up for a longer story to follow. I can also expect Danny slowly becoming Dan, but this time it's because of Jack and Maddie being the cause of it. If you ever get around to making that story, I would like to see it.

For me, it is the opposite, I am good at algebra, but I suck at Geometry.
