Lovely story! It works well as a one-shot, but could just as easily be the beginning to a wonderful chaptered fic, if you decide to continue it. I would certainly love to read more.

Excellent character study; the way Charles and Eric act and react here shows a deep friendship. It is sad when idealogical differences come between friends but it is inevitable here. You have shown this very well.
