Congratulations on making me cry! But really, I had just read Finnick’s death and then read this, and oh my sweet potato pie. This story is an absolute masterpiece, kudos to you!

I cannot even say how much I've loved reading this, how real you've made the characters feel. I cried so often. I was never sure before what my favorite book series was, but it's now officially Hunger Games. Just in case you read this, (I'm not sure if you're still on this site) I just want to thank you so much for writing this, and you are an amazing writer. Absolutely amazing.

It's been a couple of years since I last read this story (I'm reading it a second time) and I just wanted to say that if I could add this story to my favourites twice, I would do it in a heartbeat. A truly wonderful read!

Okay, I read this as fast as I could and devoured every single word. There are no words that could explain how amazing this story is. Finnick and Annie are my all time favourite ship in the Hunger Games and you have captured them perfectly. I love the way they first meet and how Mags makes Finnick her mentor. Her Games were so well thought out. After her Games, where Mags and Finnick help her was so awesome. I loved all the small details. Like the green of Finnick's eyes and his poetry. I love how Cora nicknamed her sister Seashell and how we learn throughout the story that Annie isn't just a seashell anymore. The way you wrote her drifting was really well done. Her in the Capitol was so sad but I really think that that is what happened. Every time Finnick and Annie had a scene, I found myself grinning as I read it. They were so cute together. I love how Johanna moves in with Annie as that is what I always thought happened. Aliza is so cute and Manning is just the perfect name. Everything about this fanfiction screamed amazing and this may be my most favourite fanfiction that I've ever read. Awesome job!

I know it's been beyond forever since you've written this, but I just want to say, this is beyond one of the most beautiful things I've ever read. I just finished reading this and I am sobbing. I literally made an account just so I could say something.
I stumbled across this fan fiction after re-watching the Hunger Games. Let me tell you this story was beyond anything I ever thought could be written about Annie and Finnick. At points early on, I didn't think I'd be able to read the ending, knowing what ends up happening (Finnick's death upset me when I first read it in the books). I am glad I did, although I was wrecked lol! I can't believe I feel so strongly about a fictional character! But that's how good this story is. I could feel Annie's pain, loss, joy, love, and countless other emotions. I am easily going to re-read this story again and again and I'm sure every time I read I'll get something new out of it. That's how deep your writing is.
Anyway I don't know if you even read these reviews anymore. But this is just so good I wanted to show some form of support!

Upset reading this knowing what’s coming

The lesbian rights really jumps out with the maiden of the sea story

This shit HURTED knowing that finnick does go off to war and sacrifice getting to raise his child

This chapter is just so soft and good and it’s just so upsetting to remember that they’re literally 17 and 19. They’re both just children being destroyed by the capital and they deserve so much better

I’ve read this story at least 8 times and this chapter always makes me cry. This story is just so wonderfully written and the entire day of Annie’s birthday makes me cry for them and then their fight makes me cry more. You gave these characters so much more meaning and I fully believe this to be canon

I come back to this story about once a year. During this time of a lot of nothing it seemed appropriate to find comfort in one of my favorite things I’ve ever read. This was actually one of the very first fan fictions I ever came across and I read while it was still being uploaded and it just holds such a special place in my heart. I fully believe this story to be canon. I don’t know if you still use your account but I just want to thank you for this story.
