Frostfyre7 chapter 25 . 10/15/2015 This was amazing and tearjearking and heartwarming, and is now my official headcanon. I *loved* it! And thank goodness there's a sequel, or I would have had to hunt you down. _ |
LoveHopes chapter 25 . 6/11/2015 Wow... just wow. This is incredible. You have no idea how extremely pleased I am to see there is a sequel and that you have other work in this fandom. I see it has been several years sense you have written anything on here, I hope you are still using your skills in some form. |
Guest chapter 25 . 9/16/2014 This story sucks dick |
FireEnchantress chapter 2 . 11/27/2013 Wow humanity really has sunk to a new low. But after a war that is to be slightly expected but things seem to have taken a turn for the worse here. And it's definitely strange thinking about Shepard being more than just an idol but a personal protector for all these people. |
FireEnchantress chapter 1 . 11/27/2013 Wow this is definitely a concept I have never seen before and it's SO interesting. I'm looking forward to read the rest and seeing how Synthesis changed everything and how both Garrus and Liara suffer through this. |
Guest chapter 13 . 6/22/2013 This gets even more sadder when you realize that they always talk about "meeting in the bar in heaven..." When all the instances Garrus and Shepard talked were in bars. I don't know if you did this intentionally but DAMN WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT I AM LITERALY CRYING |
Orchidellia chapter 25 . 1/9/2013 This is such a well-written story! I was glued to the edge of my seat, and I couldn't wait to hit the advance for the next chapter. I hope you keep your plans for a short conclusion to see if Garrus ever finds his daughters. Wonderful story. |
Alavon chapter 25 . 8/23/2012 *cries uncontrollably* Amazing...simply amazing. |
allie chapter 25 . 8/3/2012 Amazing! Best fanfic I've ever read, no critism, perfect! Well done! Loved it so much. Thankyou :-) |
Guest chapter 25 . 8/2/2012 Very enjoyable fic. A bittersweet ending, with concerning implications about both the Geth and the control the ghost has over the machines. I don't know if it needs a sequel, but another line at the end, about Garrus staring up at the sky, might make a better ending. Ending with the perspective of Adrienna is good for sequels, but saps some of the strength of this Garrus-centric fic. |
John D chapter 25 . 7/20/2012 I love this story, the depth you give to the characters, particularly Garrus, Liara's all-too-believeable actions to see that some part of Shepard survives and the falling out between Garrus and Liara over her actions. A Human child who has lost her Parents being what Garrus turns out to need to pull himself back together after years adrift following Shepard's sacrifice to create a Synthesis Galaxy. What has happened to Tali, Liara, even Jack in the years since the Synthesis. Just how dark a world could have been born out of the remnants of civilisation left behind following the devestation caused by the Reapers... Tiersa and Adrienna also make surrisingly effective siblings under Garrus's care, after Liara sends her Daughter to him via Feron after she "disappears". A teenage Asari still growing up and a ten year old Human girl shouldn't be so believeable as foster Sisters being raised by an ageing Turian, but your writing makes it work. Especially with Tiersa's "Homework from Miss Nought" comments while Adrienna learns to shoot at Garrus's knee-literally. The act which cemented it for me is when Adrienna is shown old footage of Garrus in his Archangel days by Tiersa, using her Mothers Files. Her reaction to Garrus's displeasure when he finds out, and Adrienna's...enough said. The welcome appearance of the Geth right at the end was an unexpected bonus, too. As an entirely Synthetic race, just what would the Synthesis do to them? Here, you provide an intriguing answer. In a very ugly Galaxy following the Reaper War, it seems maybe only the Quarian's and the Geth have come out of it in good shape-and maybe the Turian's, too. Excepting your entertaining aside about Wrex arguing with the Turian Primarch about dropping off the Krogan on Tuchunka en route to Palaven, with the Relays destruction meaning it's taking years to get anywhere. Finally, what happened to Garrus...just what was the result, for Shepard personally, of Synthesis? How could whatever she's become do what she did? Also, Liara, is she still alive? How will Adrienna and Tiersa cope with a 1.8 year journey through space to Rannoch with only each other and the Geth for company? How will Tali and the girls react to first meeting one another in the flesh at last? How will everyone react to discovering Garrus's survival-and, most important of all, just what did Shepard do to Garrus to save his life? It looks like that Bar is going to have to wait a little longer yet, regardless. Sequel, please, even with a story as distinct as this one I still want to see how it all turns out... |
Nauro chapter 25 . 7/21/2012 This was beautiful. And awesome. |
TheWatcherandReader chapter 25 . 7/8/2012 Well done, you. It's quarter past four in the morning. I was hoping to be asleep sometime before three, but then I stumbled upon this brilliant little gem, and, mm, still awake. So you've only yourself to blame for the fact that this review won't be completely overflowing with all manner of praise, due to a combined lack of sleep and words adequate to describe exactly how delighted I am with this fic. Very nicely done action scenes, Garrus' characterisation, the deft use and personal interpretation of the Synthesis ending, Shepard's ghost, the weaving of various characters' post-ME3 histories into the storyline, the (believable) journey 'home' for the varying races, Junior and Tiersa, the pacing, the character interaction, the... yes, the everything, really. Look, I'll put it another way: I burn. I can't say it any other way. There's a burning desire, in the middle of my chest, to see what happens next. To read about the interaction between Tali and the girls, Junior and Garrus' family (those markings), the effect of nearly two years stuck in a ship whilst constantly struggling with Garrus' sacrifice, and especially the subsequent revelation of Garrus being alive. That said, I'm not going to beg for a sequel. It doesn't really need one. I mean, there was that one line early on about Garrus and humanity finding there way back together, and the tiny, tiny possibility of Liara being alive (unless I missed something definitive), but as it stands, it's quite beautifully complete all ready. However. I burn. To see any of those odds and ends I mentioned, along with whatever other excellent bits and pieces you can write up, in your words, by your hands, following the path laid out in this first story? I burn to see that, to read that. I burn. And no matter what it is, please, do keep writing for this section. I'll beg for that much. Oh, and an italics button would be nice, but I should probably beg that off of someone else. So. Sleep-deprived, possibly incoherent and raving to a mild degree, but still utterly delighted and euphoric. Good show and keep on updating. |
Spiritwolf71 chapter 1 . 7/4/2012 I failed to make any review while I was reading your story and I apologize. It was perhaps one of the best reads I have had in a very long time, both here and elsewhere. I actually posted the link in the Bioware forums a couple times thinking it deserved to be noted. I really hope there is a part two coming I can see Adrienna and Teirsa working as some sort of a team in the future. Great work and thanks for letting us all read it. |
lunar47 chapter 25 . 6/30/2012 I loved how different this story was and kind of heartbreaking. Even though I know they'll be reunited eventually I was sad not to see it. Definitely one of my favorite stories. |
