Best School rumble story ever!

I don't know why but "I would have beaten his sorry ass to kingdom come and to hell with good manners" really resonates with me. Something about it just sounds so natural, that even with no context it would be reasonable to say. It seems like a normal progression of beating one's ass to kingdom come, so much so that I'll be certain so say the improved version should the need ever arise.

I don't know how many times I've attempted to read this story over the years, but I can't get over the hump of how hamfisted the flag pairing seems to be. I get that is what you're shipping, but it shouldn't have to be Yakumo being foisted off to another guy that fell from the sky while every romantic development is in the flag camp first and foremost.

Still a decent read and perhaps I'll finish it this time around, but still somewhat hard to stomach given how things are developing.

See, I stuck the story out. One thing good, you have a skill for long chapters. I couldn't write a chapter that long if my life depended on it. Lol. Love this pairing. Never actually read the manga, the anime got me hooked though. You have a knack for phrasing, and a lot of the errors I see in other's grammar you have conquered. The main grammar error that kept showing up in this story seemed to be using the word this when that would have worked better. But I know you wrote this awhile ago, so that might have since been resolved. I'll try to read your other School Rumble stories when I can. I may or may not have been inspired to write a Harima Eri one shot while reading this...though mine would have to be based on the anime...hmm. I also have to finish the chapter I am currently working on for one of my other fics, so I dunno how soon I'll get it written. Lol.

I know this story is finished, so my advice is probably moot. I am enjoying the premise so far, and the characterizations seem good. The writing is confusing though. Mostly because you have more than one character speaking in the same paragraph so often. It makes it difficult to tell who is actually doing the speaking. Ideally only one character should be quoted in a single paragraph.

I plan to finish reading, since I really do like the concept and over all story. I will let you know when and if I finish. The only thing that might stop me is the confusing paragraphs, if I'm honest. They can be hard to read.

Please don't think I mean to insult you either. You obviously have ability. And it's been more than a year since you finished this story, so the problem I mentioned might not even be an issue any more. I just wanted to make sure I left what I thought to be helpful advice. On to the next chapter now.

this fic is without a doubt one of the best School Rumble fic i've ever read. i really enjoyed reading it from first chapter till the last one. it really brings closure to Eri and Harima relationship :)

Wow! This story is truly great! I didnt like the ending either, so I get where you are comming... the only thing is, I have allways been more of a YakumoxHarima, but you give a great argument for her wanting to keep thins as thye are with Harima not pinning after her. Now that i think of it, if he did fall for her the things i liked about their relationship would go straight to the garbage, so good call on the EriXHarima pairing

Well done, what a great first chapter! I struggled at first to settle into this Harima and the scarcity of the humor in contrast to the manga felt a little left field (only at first), but I very quickly warmed to your character development, inside thoughts of H.K and Eri and LOVED the overall execution of the chapter. CH.1 itself actually felt like quite a successful mini-story in itself. Very keen to read more.

Highlights of your work:
Eri getting defensive about her family against Harima was very characteristic! Very believable
Language was very crisp, I did not feel the flow break at any point!
Overall awesome job for maintaining solid interest with high word count!
Improvements for you to consider:
-One unconvincing point was how Harima impressed the host with the reference to his manga. Eri was uncharacteristically-praising in that moment too.

I just finished this fic and all I can say to this is:
