I find it so unbelievably wonderful that even with the veritable flood of finale and post-finale fiction, even with the repeated focus on this one, single scene between the two of them, even with the vast differences in theme, story angle, and character study everyone is exploring here, all of us Castle fans (and writers) just completely GET what happened. Just COMPLETELY get it. Your story is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing it. :)
