OH MY GOODNESS I LOVED THIS STORY! Your characterization was SPOT. ON. I absolutely LOVED the line " it was kind of a good look for him, less like Castiel and so much more like Cas. " So amazing and clever. And I totally agree with your opinion that Sam and Cas don't get enough "friendship time" on the show. Thanks for reading my rant. :)

Aww that was really cute. I love Cas and Sam friendship stories, their relationship is so underdeveloped on the show, and while I guess I can understand Jared's take on their relationship, I totally disagree. After everything that's happened, I really don't believe that Cas still problems with Sam because of the whole Ruby thing. I really wish that we would start to see more of a friendship develop between them on the show, rather than it feeling like Cas is only friends with Sam by default or obligation to Dean. The show had kind of teased at it through the last couple seasons, but its never really gotten there, and that is one thing that bugs me. Anyway, your story was awesome :)

I really, really enjoyed this. Your Castiel was so hilarious and authentic and just love. Sam as well. The two of them always make me smile and I feel like they're better friends than Dean and Cas ever were, mostly because Sam doesn't constantly scream at him...

This was really sweet, you never get any really Sam and Cas interaction on the show so it was nice to see them awkwardly moving around each other in the effort to play the game.

The dialogue was true to character and the change of scene was really refreshing!

Adorable. This was adorable. I almost didn't read it, thinking "Sam plus Castiel plus bowling? That can't be good!" WRONG! Your style was light and moved well, and I loved the approach you took with Sam's concept of Dean. So rare to read, and you nailed it. You're so right, too, about the dearth of Sam-and-Cas-as-friends fics, so more kudos to you. In all, this fic was (ahem) right up my alley! Thanks for sharing!

Dean seems a little TOO much of a jerk here- I can't imagine that he'd "disown" Cas, let alone Sam. Dump them to have sex? Sure. Say that he didn't even know them? Never.

The gay ragging also seems OOC here, since Dean wasn't set on winding Sam up right then, but on scoring himself. Claiming that he'd "picked up" two gay strangers to go bowling with seems more counterproductive than saying, "That's my brother and a friend of ours. They'll be fine- they REALLY need the practice, after all."

I like that Sam has the security to inflate the lane bumpers.

I really liked this story :) I really like this relationship that developed between sam and cas. This was more casual than the relationship they had in LIght Up the Sky. I hope you continue to write more cas/sam fics. Can't wait for you to write for SPN fics
