Lana chapter 2 . 10/21/2018 Great writing. This is a definite improvement over the previous drafts, and I appreciate your writing skills and determination to write this |
Guest chapter 6 . 8/1/2018 Um I like the story so far, but I reckon you should take out the “master and slave” concept/phrase in general in this chapter. Unfortunately it’s a bit racist. |
Miqila chapter 28 . 4/7/2018 This was good; really made me think of a Ghibli movie with the pace of how fast it went as well as how some parts weren't exatly detailed, but well enough explained anyway. The ending gave a Ghibli feel too; made it clear that it ended, yet left possibilities of what might happen next open. I mean personally I would've preferred if the beginning where Haku appears in the human world would have been longer and more detailed, but that wouldn't really have been Ghibli style, which is what I'm guessing you aimed for in the first place. I didn't read the first version since I realized that this was a fixed version of it, but I didn't realize there was even a newer version... I suppose I'll go read that so that I can understand the sequel too. |
rnordal chapter 28 . 6/27/2016 I really enjoyed reading this story! I thought it was a really interesting twist on the world created in the film and added really unique back stories-I'm very excited to see how the third draft builds on this like how this one built on the first. You really have crafted a captivating story, even for a second draft. In fact, the way you built on and improved you first draft is really admirable, I wish I had half the skill (and determination to actually write anything) that you do-maybe someday, however. One aspect of what you changed in this draft that I particularly liked was how Chihiro didn't regain her memories so quickly, as it made more a more complex story with more depth. Congrats! Now I'm off to read the latest draft! |
aphroditesroses chapter 28 . 1/16/2016 I just finished reading the story! Let me tell you something: it was beyond amazing! Better than any words could describe it! I loved it and I would totally love a sequel, especially if it is written by you! I'm going to give you some ideas for the sequel just in case you run out of inspiration (you do not have to use them, I'd love if you did, though, and please don't feel obliged to use them either, I hate it when I feel like I forced someone to do something) Asumo comes back. Kohaku wouldn't be married and another bride could be picked for him and thus resulting in him being forced to marry her (but of course this would have to happen later in the story because Chihiro and Haku haven't said certain words yet *cough*I love you *cough*cough*), Chihiro's adventure of becoming a Spirit, something happens to Fujisan/Fuji-san, something with a bit of fluff (okay maybe a lot more than a bit :)) |
ShimmersAndRipples chapter 27 . 10/26/2015 I returned to the forum after a lengthy break and read this in one sitting. It is a wonderful story. It's very interesting, and your style is beautiful. My heart breaks for the mountain and forest kami, who feel helpless and betrayed by those they love and care for. It is so true that most people who do bad things are not necessarily bad themselves - they are just so hardened by life that they stop understanding the pain of others, stop acknowledging that others may feel and suffer just as acutely as themselves. Then it falls to Chihiro to reopen their eyes and make them look around again. I love your Chihiro - she is one of those rare people who see it when others need help (most people simply don't notice), and she is ready to help. She is just as Myazaki portrayed her. Your Haku is strong and vulnerable at the same time, dependable, stable, and at the same time feeling deeply - an irresistible mix )) I love the new characters that you intoduce, especially Shika. And I see you've decided not to make Chihiro choose whether she wants to give up everything to be with the prince right now ;) I'm one for a sequel - and a wedding, definitely! Thank you for the great pleasure! |
swansae515 chapter 8 . 6/14/2015 The dream sequences are either scenes from the movie or my own. Please back up any accusations of plagarism with evidence. |
Guest chapter 8 . 6/13/2015 Personally I don't really like the fact that a lot of " Chihiro's dreams" are excerpts from other peoples stories. Every dream she has I have already read but in a different story and it would seem better If you didn't change them in certain areas to make them suit your story but to come up with your own dreams for her. Also if your going to use excerpts like you are give credit to the people who originally wrote them or at the very least gain their consent to use their work and pass it off as your own |
riceflower3 chapter 4 . 5/30/2015 Awe thxs :) Bruh, this is like, my first time reading a spirited away fanfic and its so gud! w For some reason though, this part made me feel nostalgic. And that last part with chihiro's fragmented dreams and how Haku asked if she even remembered for before just made me feel so... ughh! *weeps in hanky* But yeah. :D |
RHCP Addict chapter 28 . 5/29/2015 I really enjoyed reading this version of your story! (Granted, this is the only version I've read.) Since you are offering early access, I would love to read the final version as well, and give my opinions. This is probably the best Spirited Away fanfiction I have come across yet. |
Trastuspies chapter 1 . 5/29/2015 This is a review for the entire story, which I read in a few hours after being technically unable to close the tab (formerly put down the book). Loved your writing style and grammar, clean and non-ostentatious with great flow from writer to reader. I congratulate you on the OCs not stealing the show and in the sense of adventure not overpowering the romance. I liked the ending too: I do not think you meed an entire long sequel; however, I'd love to read those little scenes scenes you couldn't fit into the main story, either during or after the ending...reading of a little wedding would be nice too. |

LukaLover chapter 28 . 5/28/2015 Please oh please! I would love to read it! |
Vaati von Ventel chapter 27 . 5/28/2015 A good story is not a story with high and low moments all the time, but the story that makes you want to read it over and over and over again. And this might just be the one. The whole story is like a flow of river, so slow, yet contain many meanings deep within it. I really like how story go, although sometimes it did confuse me. It may be the same old "you have to save the world" one, but this is not about a hero with immense power to protect the world, but simply a young girl with helps from her friend. I really want to punch hard at the screen when Chihiro *sniff* stabbed at Haku. But things work out, so it's a good thing that I don't have to buy a new computer screen. Rate it 10/10. Keep up the good work my friend ~ |
haska607 chapter 27 . 4/8/2015 This chapter was amazing️ I am so happy Haku is ok. I will really miss this story when you are done. Also the sequal would be amazing With a wedding P.S. You are an amazing writer |
