I had the same thought - Ryan saved Beckett's life and he was shunned. I think the writers were true to the charachter's reactions, but I just wanted someone to pat Kevin on the head and thank him. I know there have been & will be an abundance of Always fics, and the one aspect of the show I thought about writing was this, but you have written it beautifully, so now there is no need. Thanks for posting!

I really enjoyed this! I always thought that Ryan and Castle were Esposito and Beckett's anchors - if they ever went too far there was someone there to pull them back and save them from themselves. Your story depicted something that we all deal with when we know that we made the right decision, but second guess ourselves anyway. I think that you did a great job.

I loved your take on how Ryan would react after such a depressingly miserable end to his day. I'm glad you have Jenny in such a supportive role. The characters seemed very three-dimensional, and your descriptions on target.

It was interesting. I must say that waking up to an inbox of post-eps about Caskett was overwhelming, and this was a nice change.

And I agree - someone REALLY, REALLY needed to hug him. Jenny was a good choice ;)
