That was really cute! I nearly cried at the end, but I didn't, for once in my life. XD But I must admit this; I felt my heart crack. I guess the duct tape isn't holding on well.. OH WELL! *Puts medical tape over crack.*

I like this story. :) Really, I do. So cute and sad at the same time. I lose sleep over such things, but I'm me, so what does it matter? e-e

By the time I got to the end, tears were already streaming down my face. It's so heartbreaking but it makes me glad to know that Ivan was able to die happy, in Yao's warm arms. Now excuse while I go sob some more in the corner... *gets 10 boxes of tissues*

Beautiful and really poignant. You made this reader tear up a bit. You write damn good Rochu- kudos, your adaption of the classic story for a Rochu fic was outstanding.

Poor little Ivan.

The original "Little Matchstick Girl" story was one of my favourites when I was a kid, and this is an amazing retelling. It's so sad and touching, yet very beautiful.

This was very short, but so heartbreakingly sweet.

The storyline is similar to the original, but has its own elements that make it definitely memorable. I like how there's use of Chibi!Ivan - there seriously aren't enough stories with him, which is a real shame. I loved the cameos of Poland, Lithuania and Belarus, too.

The original story was beautiful, this one is too in its own way. I haven't shed tears in a while, and i've actually slipped a few reading this. Thank you for this lovely little story. :DDD

Oh, and have you seen Through The Flames of the Yellow Phosphorus by MOTHY ft. Kagamine Rin? It seems to be based on The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Anderson, but with a darker twist
