The next chapter should be the gangs reaction to the drafting and pony leaving. Then you make him fight in the war after the chapter of getting ready for it. Make sure ponyboy sends letters to his brothers. Then make him come home. And the final chapter is the gangs reaction to that.

First of all Happy late birthday! Second of all maybe you should do a bit of brainstorming. Sit there and think about the story and wonder what your favorite fanfiction authors would do or what S.E Hinton would do. (I perfere the latter. Keeps them in character.) Maybe look up war stories and fit those into your story. Hope this helps!
