oh my gosh you can’t believe how happy i am right now I’m literally crying. I think I was one the first reader back then, I can’t even remember which year I started to read this story...I even left this site and moved on to ao3 but I have never forgotten this story. Today I was bored and came back here, I screamed when I saw the update and had to read it from the beginning . Really happy that you’re not going to abandon this story, it’s a real gem :)

Lovely chapter as always! I'm very excited to see how this all wraps up! There are so many threads that I'm watching, from tonys shaky relationship with the team, to Clint & Steve, and whats going on with Steve's body/the serum! Really glad you decided to pick this story back up :)

wow, seven years…

This whole fic makes me feel like my own heart has been destroyed and regrown. The amount of pure emotion you manage to convey in every chapter is simply phenomenal. It's amazing, just like every aspect of this fic.

I have to say, I'm terrible for a fic filled with Steve whump. And my god, this one has it in absolute spades. I swear, there were parts were I could practically feel my heat aching for everything Steve was going through. It's a testament to your wonderful writing that you can express such vivid and brilliant emotion in your writing.

The characterisations are wonderful, too. I love a bit of Steve ready to go to his absolute limits, and I simply adore some protective!team moments. There was certainly plenty off both in this fic, but also a bit of healing at the end. Which, is just as wonderful to read as all the painful stuff.

Thank you, for bringing this wonderful story to life in such an amazing way. It's brilliant and beautiful and well worth reading. I'm only disappointed that I didn't discover it sooner!

Wonderful story! I love how you capture the beautiful disaster that is Tony and Steve's relationship in this. How Steve has decided I love Tony so much that I won't fight him anymore. I'll just let him hurt me, so long as I can stay near him. And with the added layer that best friend Clint is actually in love with Steve too.

It broke my heart when Clint kept telling Steve he needed to leave and Steve refused. I loved when Bruce suddenly punched Tony in the face, when Natasha said she wanted Tony off the team, and Thor saying Tony deserved what he got, but with no judgement in his voice.

I had work to do today, but I didn't do any of it, because I was reading this. Thank you for a fantastic read!

Hi. I first read this fic in 2012, when Avengers had just come out, and I was high on being a fifteen year old fan girl. I’m twenty-three now, no longer even read Steve/Tony, and never use this site, but the other day I remembered what an amazing fic this was, and decided to reread the ten or so chapters I had originally read. Only to find that my fan fiction fantasy had been fulfilled, and an amazing fic I had thought abandoned, had been updated. Updated as recently as a week ago, no less. I just wanted to say thank you for writing this fic, and thank you to your commitment to updating it. It is incredible, and my heart breaks for Steve with every word.

So glad you've returned to this! I read chapters 16 and 17 last week, soon after I saw the email notifications. Didn't have a chance to comment yet, but now that you've already posted chapter 18, I just had to take a minute to say that I'm thrilled to see more! I was just thinking about this story a couple of months ago, wondering if there were updates and I'd just missed the notifications. Hadn't even got around to checking (I mostly stick with AO3 these days and don't visit much) before I received the chapter 16 notification. Excellent timing!

It's good to see that these characters are (hopefully) inching towards a period of healing. Tony will need a lot of forgiveness from a lot of people, but if he has Steve in his corner, maybe the others will come around. I will definitely need to go back to the beginning once you finish the whole story, so I can enjoy all of the hurt-comfort stages at once. I'm happy with this comfort (even though I'm sure they're not 100% there yet), but I haven't had to the chance to read some of the hurt for a while, so I need to refresh my memory. ;)

Honestly I can see that, it has a epic like quality and its easy to see your passion & your growth as the story has progressed! It gives me such a thrill every time I see a chapter. You really are talented and I can't wait to read more! Even if it's breaking my heart, between Clint & Natasha struggling with their hurt and anger, Tony who is character you hate but also root for, Bruce whose trying his best to hold it all togerher, and steve who hasnt yet realized how many people are there for him in the future. It just pulls my heart in so many directions and I love it!

Definitely still reading! We all have those pieces that nag at our brains until we have to finish them! So theres nothing wrong with the time it took, and I for one, am very happy that you came bacl to this story! Its such a great tragedy! I love this!
