This is the single best fanfic I've read so far. I can definitely tell you're an older fan. Also, I feel that it fits Utena's mature theme and deep messages very well. While I don't necessarily think Anthy would rape Dios out of lust, but I can see her doing it if the stigma of incest can keep the mob away from him. It definitely leads into the drama in the story very well. Anthy killing the Princess also mirrors Nanami killing Touga’s cat. The incredible thing is how these characters all learn and grow from their past mistakes, just like in the show. I was looking for something like this. Glad I found it. Glad you wrote it.

I am enjoying how you are handling the progression of your story. Nothing seems rushed, and the characters are acting as anyone would expect under the situation. I like how you're showing that past issues need to be resolved at some point.

An interesting take on a darker outcome of the last duel. That Utena would go to such extremes is frightfully believable. The reactions are also realistic, especially given the social context. The lack of sugarcoating really adds to the punch of these scenes.

another question i have about the invisible people thing. i dont think they explain in penguin either. like what does invisible characters represent in this story? the black rose boys are working for akio but they still invisible.

Touga's inner turmoil as he drives Utena is even more brilliant upon reread. To have all these feelings, all this history between them, and he obviously have strong feelings for her even here. With Utena in car form he can again imagine her as a girl. The longing, the pain, the urgency of the moment have me at the edge of my seat. The scene is that good.

awesome wabaka characterization. i like how she is the one to step up first to help even though she isn't strong or special. she is utena's best friend so that makes sense too.

this is the chapter where depths of utena's agony of failure shows. to have gone to such lengths...only to get backstabbed and all because anthy says she's a girl. i am lgbtq positive but can understand this driving utena to extreme actions. depicting utena using hrt as self harm is not a diss on trans community. like fire can cook but can burn you when misused. utena is driven to misusing hrt by swords it all make sense. the tumblr person who flames in review was being hunty pay her no mind.

this is the chapter where you extract the quote to use in the summary. it captures the utena side of the story and is a good choice. the level of control Akio has over these people even in the real world is shocking. your interpretation of the child broilers fueling Akio's power goes to show he really is ingrained into corrupt adult society. the penguin boys do look like shadows in that final scene. i always thought it was borderline utena reference.

just how much does everyone remember about the black rose arc? i know they forget mikage and the building but what about everything else? you seem to have her forget the locket here though. is that your intention?
