RukiYuki chapter 1 . 3/8/2017
Im so touched
Cavisze chapter 1 . 6/24/2016
This read like a very well written and well paced story. The emotions don't feel over the top, but rather sincere. I have known some breast-cancer patients that had to go through with that process, and I saw the self-consciousness and upset emotions and questions of identity that were involved.

This was an interesting and realistic feeling AU.

I also enjoyed the concept of the characters (Ichigo) acknowledging that while it's not an ideal situation, there are pros and cons to removing the breasts and ovaries and such. I feel like, people get too carried away with the IchiRuki pairing by making it all positive and happy feelings when the situation is difficult... It actually shows the strength of the pairing and the dynamics of it when they acknowledge the difficulties and work through them, rather than just swooning all the time.

purplepam chapter 1 . 12/16/2014
This is amazing. This is so well-written and it brought a lump to my throat. I love that Rukia proposed first and I love, love how you described their their relationship because Ichigo and Rukia can never and will never be those sickening lovey-dovey couples. This is really amazing. Great job!
VMishapR chapter 1 . 11/15/2014

JoTerry chapter 1 . 9/21/2014
Despite the fact that this story is about near-death experience, it is actually full of life and speaks volumes about making every second of our lives and relationships worthwhile. Thanks for doing this.
Wild-hair Eir chapter 1 . 4/30/2014

LunaBianca chapter 1 . 2/14/2014
I really appreciate this, the whole concept that sometimes you can't save another person or truly share their experience. Love is choosing to accept and support and nurture someone come what may, and it's the best and most horrible thing ever.

Rukia and Ichigo are wonderful in this story because of their long history, combative chemistry and big hearts. If reality were a manga, Ichigo would through unbelievable will and physical trials cure cancer in three days and save Rukia from execution. Hey, if anyone can kick cancer's ass, it should be shinigami. ;) Humor and awesome AU parallels aside, this story doesn't trivialize dealing with serious illness or fall into sentimental cliches.

Thanks for the feels.
appleschan chapter 1 . 12/15/2013
I can die in peace. It has so much heart. Thank you for writing.
Sad chapter 1 . 3/16/2013
This piece did make me a bit sad at the end. I can feel the pain Rukia felt in not giving everything Ichigo wanted but even though kids is something he wants I understood that Ichigo also couldn't see himself with anyone else but Rukia. It is a sad dilemma with no easy way out and I thought you wrote it wonderfully. Hopefully you update this again.
wickedliz chapter 1 . 2/27/2013
I broke down into tears almost to the end there, with the bit about children. Since (like too many people) I've seen cancer work it worst.

So that little bit in the ending was actually quite nice and gave me some much needed perspective.

From a medical pov, there's always surrogacy. Women who hope to one day get pregnant have their eggs frozen so they can be used later when they're well. Or in Rukia's case can be used with a surrogate. The child will will be hers and Ichigo's just born from a different womb. It's not the end of the world, surviving is the hardest part.
