I loved every moment of this story, from the serenading to the bitter sweet ending. Who knew Hotch could be such a horrible singer ;)

It's nice that you took the time to build this story, without having to rush towards the finish line to end it. Keep up with your writing and may your muse keep you flowing with ideas.

Oh holy crap, I'm pretty sure you've wrung every tear out of me! This was so terribly good... so wonderfully painful. Poor JJ & Hotch... so close to the happy ending. But not quite close enough... Ugh, I have to go cry some more now.

Great story. I really enjoyed the way that you interwove what was happening in the here and now with flashbacks into what slowly built into a relationship. And while the current time period was definitely sad, I think that the way you chose things to end was quite in character - that's the sort of thing that someone on the team would choose to do, regardless of where they were or what they were doing.

I very much enjoyed the way you built up the relationship slowly, because if anything were to happen it wouldn't be quick. They're both just not that sort of person. But I also like that you brought in the side of Hotch that, while we know used to exist, doesn't ever really crop up in the show. That made it seem more real. Though I'd suspect Hotch actually has quite a decent singing voice, even if he was the worst third pirate ever. ;-)

So thanks again for writing. Definitely interested if you choose to write this pairing again. Even if it's kinda dark. D
