Amazing

Well i love the idea of ruby being with mr. Gold. Its just nice to imagine the alpha wolf with some as intriguing as rumple. If belle didnt exist i would ship red and gold so very hard. I adored your story and would love to read more of it. I plan to check out the sequel soon.

God, they are both explosive and are so much smarter than in other funfics I've read. I love your dialogues and characters. Gold does not have any guilt complex, Ruby is tough as nails (well, almost)), they are awesome while interacting!

Oh, God. This was SO GOOD. The characterization was superb (for both Ruby and Gold), the pacing was flawless, the narration struck the perfect balance between artful and mundane (so it didn't come off as either pretentious or boring) ... I just loved the whole thing so much. You did such AMAZING work!

Ugh, the epilogue almost killed me. They had such a good thing going - and I wanted them to get together! But not like this! They just HAD to go and ruin their tentative emotional connection by having sex too early! Because then they just shut down emotionally! But it was in character! UGH. I feel so conflicted right now. RUBY, I LOVE YOU, BUT I DO NOT APPROVE OF SOME OF YOUR CHOICES, WHILE I STILL UNDERSTAND WHY YOU MAKE THEM. (That is the mark of a beautifully written character, by the way.)

I got SO EXCITED when I saw there was a sequel, and SO CONFUSED/UPSET when I saw that it was tagged for both "Ruby/Mr. Gold ongoing romance" AND "eventual Rumbelle and Red Cricket." UGH. I am exceedingly nervous to see how this turns out. I need Gold and Ruby to be together LIKE I NEED AIR. And from the summary, it looks like Ruby and Gold will stop seeing each other and end up with other people - THUS DEPRIVING ME OF LIFE-GIVING OXYGEN. Ugh. I should not be this upset about the possibility, considering I haven't even read it yet. And I won't get a chance to, before the weekend! I don't think I can wait that long! Seriously, I hadn't even CONSIDERED shipping them before I stumbled upon this fic. What have you done to me?!

You're just too good a writer. That's what's happening here.

Wow. Okay, I don't normally leave individual chapter reviews on a completed story, but this was AMAZING. Really.

You have Ruby's voice down PERFECTLY, right off the bat. She's exactly as charming and snarky as she should be, and the whole thing was highly entertaining and had my interest from the very beginning.

I know how difficult it can be to hook readers - especially for alternative pairings - but you've done a brilliant job here! Masterful start.

I am so sad this story is over, but can't wait for the sequel! It has been an honor and a pleasure to beta Crimson Gold, your writing is inspiring, and, more prosaically, an absolute delight to read. It has made me laugh more often than I care to admit, at the most inappropriate times and places, but I also hope that you will let the more complicated emotions that underlie it shine through in the next installment. I'm sorry I can't do a more indepth review given I basically live at work and have gotten engaged as of thursday I havent had time to myself (hence my own lack of updates) but seriously I love you and the way your mind works and *hugs*

Aw, poor Ruby. I love the thought process you gave her though, how she's realizing she's actually beginning to feel what might be love. Even if it terrifies and somewhat sickens her. Brilliantly done once again, my dear. :)

As for the A/N - I'm definitely interested in and game for the soul-baring coming up in the next fic. In the meantime, enjoy your trip!

It profoundly blows me away how rich your writing is. You effortlessly weave humor and lightness with some pretty heavy emotional stuff, and it works amazingly. Your take on Gold, refracted through Ruby's eyes, is both intriguing and slightly uncomfortable - though I'm not even sure why, exacrly - and I absolutely love it. My favority bit is still about the magpie. I swear it makes me laugh every time I read it, I don't know what's wrong with me.
The end of the chapter was heart-breaking, in a sort of understated way, and it makes your reader go "Wait, what? No! Whaat!" Hehe Keep up the stunning work, can't wait for the next installment.

Wow! Sorry it took me so long to review, but this chapter is AMAZING! Love their back and forth as always, and I love you kept their banter even during the obvious. And speaking of the obvious - HOT!

Oh, this was a delight. I adore the way you write out their interaction, and this is probably the chapter that Ruby's wit shines in its full glory. I literally felt giddy reading through it! I love her sympathy for the poor waiter, too, a really nice touch.
