i really like how you gave zuko the ability to bend lightning while still keeping this ability in check with his character (if I remember correctly, he only uses it as a last resort to spare a painful death, like he's trying to separate himself from Azula).

I don’t believe I mentioned this before, but I love that Zuko has her mother’s pendant on his wrist. Gets me all giddy inside when you mention it.
I am excited and nervous to start the final book in this series of yours. I didn’t make the connection until now that you wrote one of my favorite fics, the Swan Princess one that I forgot the title of but it’s based around that one song - damn good story.
I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready for the final leg of this journey you’ve sent us on. The nature of THG is brutal and there isn’t a lot of room for happy endings. I trust you will do us justice.

I do think it’s sad Katara keeps asking Bowen not to kill Zuko, but never asks Zuko not to kill Bowen. That’s gotta be a kick in the gut every time.

The bison whistle reminds me of Chekhov’s gun. You’ve made a point to showcase it, even if just in passing, the last few chapters.

I love me some angsts fluff. And I love Bowen parallels with Finnick and Annie (forgot if that’s her name, been a while since I read the books)

I am disappointed in Katara for not trying harder to establish sponsors. She kept saying she had to focus on them and try but she failed in every instance or simply didn’t try at all. Definitely shows her pride and some of her weaknesses, I love Katara but that was something that pissed me off about Katniss and I don’t love seeing it in her. But it makes for a juicy story and stress with lack of sponsors. The plot must go on!

I’m getting really annoyed with some of your reviewers shaming smut though. Like the shaming is so gross to me, idk. I think if you wanna write it or read it, do it. This is totally non-consequential for me to bring up, I know, and I didn’t come to this story for that kind of stuff but it just irritates me. The comment at the end of this chapter about authors using it to show love just reeks to me cause like... people in love have sex, kiddo. Idk why I brought it up I just felt annoyed and - even though I wasn’t expecting smut in this story - I felt shamed for having read it. Big yikes to those reviewers.

I am very excited to see where this path takes us. I love learning the behind the scenes tasks the mentors have. It’s something I wish we saw more of in THG so I’m more than pleased to see it happening now.
This would certainly make for a boring book, but I can’t help but think if I was in Hama’s position, I’d stop Fire Lord Ozai’s heart, consequences be damned. Make it took like a heart attack or maybe cause an aneurism. Ozai wouldn’t be a martyr then, just a victim of circumstance. It can happen to anyone, after all.
Boring book, but it’s what I would have done. It’s untraceable.

That being said, can’t wait for Hama to fuck up some tributes.

I knew Hama would volunteer and I can’t decide if I’m relieved or devastated to hear it. The moment she said everything would be okay, I knew but also wanted to pretend it wasn’t what I thought.
But I am interested in seeing how Katara blows these games into smithereens from the back end.
