The way you approach their relationship is very realistic, since in canon I don't think they were really stuck on one side or the other as far as friendship versus romance. They were "lovers" in the sense of brotherly love, I think, and closer than mere friends. I can just imagine them being secure enough in their relationship to joke about romance - even though they aren't actually involved in that way - like they do in this story. :) |
