I thought you did an excellent job of conveying Ivy's concern borne out of love for Rachel. I know Ivy is submissive but it also seemed like Ivy was letting Rachel lead because she wanted Rachel to feel comfortable with this new level of intimacy.

The bedroom scene was very passionate without getting caught up in the mechanics of the situation. Really felt the chemistry between Rachel and Ivy.

I am convinced that one of the biggest joys in Ivy's life is doing things that make Rachel ask "How did you do that?" The caps was a great example.

First and only? Hmm, we'll have to change that, won't we? ;) This was very well written and delicious, so I'm glad you finally posted it. You waited 2 years? Oh, who am I to talk. XD To continue, I really liked your take on their lovemaking. It gets difficult to write a love scene, particularly when mechanics and technicalities get in the way, but you really pulled this off. The only thing I would note is that whereas Ivy's was wonderfully detailed (tee hee), Rachel's was rather short lived. I don't know if that was intentional, if you ran out of steam, or what, but on the other hand I can see why with the way you wrote the ending. Still, I think there could be more than just a paragraph. P Regardless, good on ya! Please do chug out more. ] I'm working on a few Ravy fics myself, and I love to write smut. XD

i honestly do not understand why Rachel didn't just go for it (possibly like this) before Pale Demon and after...i think White Witch, Black Curse? she even admitted to herself that she loved Ivy 'more than a sister' plus all the ogling and tenthousand times she described her as beautiful. well. i guess. her fear of abandoment by upsetting their balance? ugh. idk. ANYWAY. a great story. super well-written. i really like the tentativeness and playfullness and trust and earnestness. yes. and hotness. of course. although the nearly complete restraint that Ivy demonstrates here, it seems Kisten level, and i always get the impression from the books that she's not capable of it even when sated. but really. technically i suppose, she should be able to right? she can do blood without sex now so sex without blood SHOULD be a piece of cake by now. i just never get that impresssion. even tho casual physical contact between Rache and Ivy doesn't seem like SUCH a big deal anymore. still.. so that just felt a little strange to me but whatever. Kim Harrison's fault. also. Rachel actually BLACKED OUT? ahahahaha.

Great story! The ending was really amusing and I like that you included a little bit of something post-hotness, which was really well written in and of itself.

BMS had such promise for the Ravy pairing, but then KH decides to throw Mr. Elf into the mix and torture us all some more.

I hope you have another idea for this pairing and post it, in a time frame that is preferably sooner than two years but if not I'll just have to wait.
