Great little scene from Lestrade’s POV. One of my favorite things from the beginning of the series to the end is Lestrade’s comments about Sherlock becoming a good man, here you have expanded on the beginning of that process and Lestrade’s realization of it. Well done.

I don't know how I never reviewed this before, but this is one of those stories I still come back to years later. I absolutely love your writing; everyone is always so in character.

Hi! I'm reviewing your story because it was chosen as SAtC for the forum The Hostile Takeover a few weeks ago. I only know a little bit about Sherlock, but I still enjoyed reading your story.

This scene your story is based on is actually one of the few Sherlock scenes I have watched. I like how you took a small segment in a scene and expanded it into a short story. You took the pauses in the characters' dialogue and inserted a look into the characters' thoughts. I also like how you focussed on the way Sherlock and John Watson's personalities influence each other.

You did a great job of portraying Sherlock's analytical, logical personality. The way he views people as "puzzles to take apart and workout". You also described his rants as "data-processing" and his way of mentally storing information as "filing the new information into his internal case file", which I think is a perfect way to describe the thought pattern on an analytical thinker.

I didn't come across any spelling, grammar of punctuation errors, so well done for that.

Overall, I think this is a well-written story and I enjoyed reading it.

Excellent! Yes, that "not good?" was a defining moment in that episode. I love this story!

This was absolutely brilliant. I love that you took basically my favorite line from the series, and matched it with Lestrade's POV. It all added up to overwhelming brilliance, the cherry on top being how well you write.

I enjoyed this immensely, and will rec'd it to others.

I find that scene very telling, too. And John didn't have to even say anything. And I think Lestrade looked a bit surprised when Sherlocked asked John if what he said wasn't good. It's hard to tell though, because he was a little unsharp in the background.
