OMG. that was great! Good job! I've always loved the relationship between Babs and Dick and I think you wrote it very nicely. My heart broke so many times reading this. When Babs felt like their friendship was dying, Dick and who I'm assuming is Zatanna, and that end. just ugh

It's hard to keep promises when you're a superhero and other people don't know it. I liked the format of the story, going back and forth between memories of promises and the present.

It was a lovely mix of disappointment in the flashbacks and heartbreaking in the present I think. A powerful mix that definitely lefts me craving for more. Nevertheless this is a very good oneshot, so if you never write a sequel (though I really hope you do) I think it'lll be ok.

You write amazingly and keep the character very IC even in situations like this, so congratulations on that! and thanks again for sharing such a wonderful piece :)
