She’s pretty chill about him killing people. Lol. Still sweet in its way. She’s usually a throwaway character (I’ve only seen the anime) but it’s good to see her fleshed out a bit.

Oh he definitely fucking would have broken after all that shit got piled onto him. This actually makes him feel more human than the actual character.

I am glad someone linked me to this fic. Mind of Steel Shirou is so rarely done well, and of course Ayako so rarely gets a turn in the spotlight, but you meshed the two so well together that this became a brilliant work of art. Excellent job!

Holy fuck. That was awesome. But why is there no conclusion? I really need to see the ending that Shirou kiss Ayako or whatever, even so far out like they are getting married is fine.
Well is not like I am complaining or anything but, I still feel like the end is a bit of a cliffhanger like that.
Need more romance between them for the ending! Rawrr!

holy shit so Shirou went with the superhero ending and Ayako pulled him off the deep end I don't know why I just had the urge to read something with her in it and found this I definitely feel like this is an accurate representation of how Shirou would be after all Kiritsugu was pretty fucked in the head after he killed his mother figure and Shirou killed the girl he likes, the girls sister, someone he admired greatly and his own adopted sister in the span of about a week that's four very personal deaths all caused by him so yeah I imagine he'd be beyond suicidal at this point

Really, really good. Short, but poignant and very well built up. Wasn't expecting it to be HF, much less Mind of Steel, but once I realized it was I was awed at how well it was handled. Fav'd like fuck.

It's nice. Ayako get's lots of points for being the hero Shirou needs, loking like Ryougi Shiki and well acting bit like R. SHIKI.
