Perhaps you should use the word "yell" instead of scream when it's the knights raising their voices. Screaming is high pitched. Yelling is a deeper tone.

It was rather stupid of Arthur to try to kill someone who was setting up a barrier to the monster. Lol.
I'd say magic is more like an herb than a sword. Herbs can heal or kill.

Why, why, why do people always equate the nature of magic to that of a sword? That is basically making a statement that Magic is a weapon. MAGIC IS NOT A WEAPON! It's a force, a skill, a talent a very wide and diverse range of tools but most categorically not a weapon despite it's being capable of taking life. To tell someone it is like a sword is to say you kill people with it and only that. Can a sword heal? Can it create life? Can it put out a fire? Or start one? Please stop degrading the artistry of magic with such banal platitudes.

Ok. Rant over. Sorry I'm back to myself again, it's just sword analogies are my pet hate and apart from that I really am enjoying this fic. Truly! *Gives a sheepish smile*

And for future reference, although this is an older story and maybe you have learned by now, a good way to show inner thoughts is by sticking it in italics and leaving " " to designate actual speech.
