I see you're new to this, so I thought I'd help you out. First, for someone saying a line, you skip another line:

Approaching the small child, Tenzin bent before her, and spoke in a soothing timbre, "Hello there, young one."

Startled, the young child bolted up and out of her peaceful state. "Master Tenzin, I-I'm sorry... I- I was just wondering about, and I- I saw you and I just wanted to try meditation, to see if I could be so at peace, like you," the girl stammered out in a high, gentle voice.

Also, for each idea, you might want to make another paragragh. But, for a new writer, you're doing great so far. If you ever need help on something, you can ask me. I always like trying to help new writers.

Short but good. On a related subject,Am I the only one who thinks Tenzen & Pema's relationship is kinda gross? Good story though.
