Come back pretty please we need to see how this ends

Aww, thank you for updating! I actually reread again. This was the best update & I can’t wait for more!

You have NO idea, how thrilled, ecstatic, and over the moon I had felt about seeing this story appear on my updated SamCedes feed. How thrilled that I was that this story had been removed from the island of forgotten stories and presented once again like the special gift that it is. In one of my reviews, I had stated that I will always be here. I will always be waiting for when you return. True to my word, I am still here and I am so grateful that you came back.

I cannot even begin to thank you enough for this.

You had picked up right where you left off. You did not miss a beat. Mercedes was still Sid. Even after all of these years, your Sid is still the same. The Sid that was still fiercely loyal to her family and felt crushed when she had heard some of the snobbish mothers said some pretty nasty and negative things about her family. That it was like hearing those words was her Cinderella's version of the clock striking midnight and she had to run. Fortunately for Sam, her glass slippers hurt her feet so she took them off and rested a bit.

But once again, Sid had protected her family by not fully explaining to her mother why she ran out of the costume ball. That people were looking upon her family as being gold digging social climbers. That they had viewed her family as some sort of pet project that the Evans were doing. Sid loved her mother so much, that she didn't want to hurt her with those words. That she would rather take the pain alone instead of sharing the burden with her mother, Mikey, and Katie. She would rather take her mother's punishment, then to do that to her mother.

Too bad that part of her punishment was the fact that she had to stay away from Sam. Too bad that both moms got together to devise a way to really keep them separated. I bet it was those moments that Mercedes wished that she didn't graduate early. At least if she was in school, she could see Sam and there is nothing that their parents could do about it.

But at least it was only a week. It could have been worse. Then again, I don't think that she did anything too terribly bad to deserve to get grounded in the first place. After all, for a 17 year old, she had to deal with more responsibilities than most adults do.

Even though Sid refused to tell her mother about why she had ran out, and Sam only got the highlights, but not the full picture, Sid told Kurt everything. Now Kurt is the king of getting even when it comes to someone hurting Mercedes. Sam had heard verbal truth about that when Kurt said that he would rip the balls off the person who gave Sid that bruise on her shoulder. Even the Cheerios felt his wrath with a perfectly timed sprinkler system and vinegar in their shampoo. Toss in the insults that the snobby ladies said about Mama Jones, and watch out.

Full Force is about a girl that has grown. In the beginning of this story, she was Sid. Sid was a energetic, goal oriented, workaholic, hustler who only thought about two things. She always thought about the next dollar and she wanted to find a way to get her family out of Lima's version of the hood. That your circumstances do not have to define your life. She wasn't interested in making new friends. She wasn't interested in clothes, popularity, or anything that normal teenagers were interested in. She wanted to make money. Sid was picked on and pushed around by her peers. It was those situations in her everyday life that had caused her to act tough even when she was scared out of her mind.

Then Sam had entered the picture.

Once that happened, a part of Sid had slipped away, and Mercedes started to emerge. With the help of Kurt, Sid became more polished. She had gotten rid of the boy clothes. She did her hair. She had a growing understanding that people's first impression of you is how you look. If you look professional and polished, people will treat you that way. Putting together a presentation of her services to Evans' helped in that transition. Before Sid even knew it, Mercedes came to be.

As Kurt once said, "as long as you are dressed like that, you are Mercedes". But Sam had also helped her to see that she is beautiful. Sam could have anyone that he wanted. She has seen girls come up to him, but he always turns them down, before he reaches out and grabs Mercedes hand. Even with her meltdown with what happened at the ball, Sam had made her feel safe, secure, and loved.

Maturity had made Sid grow up and that growth made her live up to her real name. It made her Mercedes. Even though Mercedes is now emerging, the fighting hustler will always be a part of her.

I am not sure if any of that made any sense. Oh well. I can't wait for the next chapter! GIDDY

I am still here. I still dust off the mothballs and read this story on a regular basis. I still know all of the words. I still know how to decipher all of the sudden scene transitions. I still love this story. Most of all, I am still waiting for an update. I will keep on waiting for as long as it takes.

Right now you may be asking why.

It is simple. My love for the pairing of Mercedes Jones and Sam Evans will never die. My love for SamCedes will never die. Granted, they are fictional characters. But they are fictional characters with a purpose. They show the world that complete opposites pairings are possible. A curvy diva and a blonde adonis. Black and white. Mercedes is R and B and Sam is all about country. Mercedes is grounded while Sam's head is in the clouds. Sam helps Mercedes loosen up a little while Mercedes makes sure that Sam's feet touch the ground every once in a while. When Mercedes doubts herself, there is Sam being her biggest cheerleader. When Sam thinks that he is going to be nothing more than a dumb jock, there is Mercedes telling him that he is a lot more than that.

In the beginning of season 2 of Glee, I would have never thought of them as a couple. Then the writers of Glee turned that into a reality. Not only did they make sense on paper, but they made since on our TV screen. Out of all of the couples on Glee, the pairing of Sam and Mercedes had the ability to change the world. To prove that opposites attract. There has never been a pairing like that on television before and it was refreshing. The writers of Glee had an opportunity to teach the world about interracial relationships, but dropped it the moment that they had eclipsed Ryan's favorites.

Chapter 15 of Full Force explains to us why this pairing is so important. Like Quinn's mother, she didn't understand why Sam chose Mercedes over her skinny, blonde daughter. But it was Sam and Mercedes parents who understood why they chose each other and how special their relationship is. Sam became a better person because Mercedes was in his life. He became the son that Mrs. Evans thought she had lost. Mercedes just blossomed under Sam's love. He had built up her confidence. Allowed her to open up more. What Quinn's mother was looking at was superficial. But what the reader was looking at and feeling is their heart. The same goes for I See You.

That is their magic. That is why I am still here. That is why I fight for this story and all other abandoned stories to be continued. To show RIB that SamCedes did, does, and continues to matter.

All and all, this is just a great story and I wanted you to know.
