Reviews for Sorrow
Fire The Canon chapter 1 . 4/28/2012
Okay, is it bad that I enjoy reading and writing fics about miscarriages? I've written a few. I think I like delving into that emotion losing a baby brings.

Anyway, this was really beautifully written. I like how you mixed it up between past and present. It was really good and effective, I think for the story.

The ending was really beautiful, too. Especially Parvati's last line. Such a bittersweet ending. And your writing was well done. No spelling/grammar errors and it flowed.

Well done.
deerlypadfoot chapter 1 . 4/27/2012
The last line - "He looked like you" - just completely made this entire story, and my eyes are burning like I'm about to cry, oh dear. But it's in a good way :) It all entirely was so sad, yet the end was sweet, like a little glimmer of hope, and I adore the way you wrote this. I love so many parts - where Neville wonders what kind of father he would have been, how he insists the child will be a boy, how he thinks of Luna and the kind of world she lives in. It's all so lovely and so bittersweet. Your writing flows really nicely, too, and evokes that particular sadness yet little shining hope that I think you were going for. There's one part though that I'll pick at - "He could never even begin to fathom the sorrow and torment that was caused by the greatest joy literally being taken away from you." I might just change 'you' to 'her,' or take away 'from you' entirely. That's the only thing I really saw though, and it all regardless was fantastic :) I really do love it, I'm going to have to favorite it. Good job!

*Sobs uncontrollably*

That was so emotional!

You're a really great writer, love the Neville/Parvati pairing & the way you write really helps to manifest the whole tragedy of the piece.

Don't stop writing!

So very sad. Keep writing
alverixorcustransfrogamorphus chapter 1 . 4/24/2012
*tear runs silently down face* that was so sad!

Just Neville losing anything more is just heartbreaking. I mean, he lost his parents, and now his baby and It was just so sad.

I must say, the Neville/Parvati pairing is something I've never read before. This one definately did it justice. I can somehow see them together. In a lot more ways than I can see Neville/Hannah, i mean they barely ever knew each other at hogwarts, and Neville/Parvati is a lot more believable

The emotions in this are very very real. I remember my cousin having a stillbirth She was depressed for months, a lot like Parvati.

The little bit with Neville thinking about how good it would be to live in Luna's world was a tearjerker (being a Nuna shipper myself) The fact that Luna gave them a teddy wearing "genius" clothes is just so... Luna!

Overall a truly brilliant piece of work.
HeadlessHuntsman chapter 1 . 4/24/2012
The was very emotional and filled with feelings. Your writing style in this is awesome. I like the mention of Luna. I like stories like this that show that life isn't all Butterbeer and Bon Bons after Hogwarts.

Good Job
Lady Phoenix Fire Rose chapter 1 . 4/22/2012
This was so heart-breakingly sad...I so very nearly cried, i could feel the tears coming. If I wasn't interrupted in the middle, they probably would have. I think that you did a wonderful job with this. This one I shall mark as my favorite. :)
Shaun056 chapter 1 . 4/21/2012
Wow.

First off, I would like to say that Neville/Parvati wasn't a pairing I'd ever really thought about so nice job making it seem real.

On to a more pressing matter. The subject seemed to be handeled very nicely, you don't draw too much attention to it which is good. Obviously we all know whats going on but it isn't pressed upon which I found nice.

I'd like to see this expanded on. I think it could make a nice longer fic.

Anyway, very nice
