I have never read a Sebastian/Moriarty fic before, but I'm quite a curious thing at times. I rather liked the story, because it shows that part of Moriarty that we never really see. It also makes me sound a little mad if I say that Jim seems a little sweet :) My friend always says that I'm crazy when I call him funny or cute. Rambling - gotta stop that.

*His hair was mussed and sticking with static to Sebastian's upper arm, and his long eyelashes had brushed against his cheekbones like a spider lying in wait.* - He looks so loveable and little in my head, and I want to give him a cuddle. I might get killed if I tried to hug the consulting criminal, though.

*Most people pander to Jim like they're afraid he'll have them killed if they say they don't like his tie; he supposes it must be refreshing to have one person crinkle their nose up at it and say something more along the lines of, it's the most awful thing I've ever seen. And I kill people for a living.* - His tie sounds really bad... It must be nice to have at least one guy giving you advice on what to wear though, because you'd like to look your best when killing people and breaking the law and stuff.

*He'd never actually seen Jim sleep before, and he'd kind of assumed he was the sort who'd power-nap for an hour or two and then work his way out of Sebastian's embrace and leave.* - He would, I think. He's pretty sneaky like that, to work his way outt of someone's hold. Though Jim also seems like the kinda guy who would power-nap because all those murders? They take up time, and sleep takes up time too.

*Jim had bolted upright as though the static in his hair had sparked an electric shock.* - I liked this line. It's an amazing use of imagery; I could see it so clearly in my mind as he shot up off the bed. It was really good :)

The central idea here works very well for Moriarty and Moran. It wouldn't work with a John/Sherlock pairing, because even Anderson can see that's love from a megaparsec away. But Moriarty and Moran? Absolutely.
