Despite your own assessment that this piece is not very good, i actually greatly enjoyed it. I don't think your characters are OOC — you seem to have done a good job manifesting their personalities.

Jack/Miranda are actually one of my fav pairings, so I may be a bit bias. But I really think they work well together, better than either one of them with any one else. They have so much in common — parallel histories, similar traits, etc — and yet they are different enough that they can still learn from and fascinate each other. They compliment beautifully, providing they can get over their initial judgements of each other, which, of course, is where a great story can be woven from.

Well, you are right, Jack and Miranda are a little out of character. Shepard is practically an OC so it doesn't matter how OOC she is since she's yours anyway. But, despite that, this was cute and your writing was solid. Thanks for the story!

i thought it was precious and sweet...

I really liked it, there was a plot, however easy to follow or cliched as it was, and characters being out of their norm is the basic rule of fan-fiction. That rule being, it is a piece of (fiction) created by the (fan) however loosely or closely they want it to be to the original origin of the idea they want it. Well done.

This gave me feels! T_T Miranda/Jack is one of my favorite non-canon pairings. I disagree with your assessment that it was OOC. I think you did quite a good job, actually.

That was... really qood actually. I'll admit that I did goggle a bit at the pairing (can't imagine it's that common), but everyone is in character the whole time (ShepardComforting, slightly nosy JackAngry but soft and MirandaProgressively less bitchy)

I wouldn't say they're out if character. Jack is angry, defensive, and fragile, while Miranda is tightly wound and self deprecating.

All around this is really well written. Your slow approach to a relationship between Jack and Miranda is the most realistic approach I've seen in a while, much better than the stories wherein they just fall into bed together. They are both really defensive women with a lot of inner demons (Jack more so than Miranda) that would make a quick tumble... problematic at best, but you've avoided that and made it really sweet too.

You know, I really dislike Jack and Miranda as game characters... But this story is great and it's wonderfully written too! And I don't believe anyone in this story is out of character. You made it so believable!
