Criticism incoming! Some of Becca's side of the argument in this chapter was really untactful. It felt like you needed the argument to go a certain way so you just sort of had her say all the things she needed to say to make an argument. Reid's side, however, was very believable and I wanted to hug him when he doubled over. (I sort of knew it was coming because of the one-shot you have and I was immediately like; "Uh oh. My poor baby!") I know the next chapter is an Author's Note and you haven't updated since 2012 but I have hope. I love this story and I think you're a phenomenal writer. I don't care what anyone says, setting up a relationship and giving the readers evidence of a relationship between two characters is not boring. I think this is amazing and I completely believe these two love each other, even if they haven't said it to each other yet. I'll be PMing you soon! Bye!

No offense to Garcia but I completely agree with Becca's reaction to what she did. It wasn't her place and she shouldn't just forgive her off the bat (because it's actually rude despite how some of the characters on the show sometimes react to her). If you've ever seen Lost Girl, there's a character called Kenzi who gets a similar treatment but there is a story arch were a newer (less liked, but whatever) character points out the unconditional love and forgiveness. I really enjoyed that about the story arc and I really enjoyed it about this story. Great job! I also really like how Becca comes to the conclusion that she's in love with Reid (it's much more smooth than Reid's (no offense.).). Love this story!

This is one of my favorite Criminal Minds fics. It sets up the romance between the two and creates a good character for us to fall in love with alongside Spencer. My only issue with this chapter (because I literally love this fic so far) is that the end of the chapter was a little anti-climatic. You have your one-shot which mentions this moment and I think you did it better in the one-shot than you did it here. Him realizing he's in love with Becca just sort of feels like an "Oh, by the way," rather than something that we see him actually realize or come to the conclusion of. Just saying... Otherwise, this was amazing. (Sorry for the criticism.)

This is so good, and no, this is not "boring". I feel like half of any good story is giving the reader evidence that the two love interests legit-ly love each other. It sets so much up for the future and I'm so excited to read more. Becca is such a cool character and I'm loving your extensive knowledge of Reid's character. They are so cute together. Great job!

What a fitting title for this chapter!

What separates a mature romance story from the pack is when an author truly taps into the issues that the characters have (Reid's sensitivity and poor coping skils, Becca's insecurities)and uses them to create friction. I love that Becca and Spence's problems are internal and not created by some big, ridiculous outside force. So human, so realistic. Also, I see you laying the tracks for future conflicts. I have a feeling that this argument is over but not forgotten. No one can ever accuse you of being a lazy writer. Very nice.

I loved the hospital scene. Morgan was so spot on, body language and all. It's such a small detail, but him watching her flinch at the mention of Garcia was such a moment of continuity. Profiling skills at work! Fabulous. The end moment was very sweet and again, very realistic, for two people who have trouble opening up.

Mental illness is a very tricky topic to write about. It's one thing to hint, but to put it all out there in the open can be very controversial (for lack of a better word).

Garcia is the personification of the old cliche "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." She was just trying to protect Spencer, but she had no business in Becca's business. (Although if I had the access and the skills Garcia does, I'm not sure I could resist checking out the people that come into my family's life) I liked watching her realize how wrong she was when she saw Becca get upset. No one is perfect. We all cross the line, esp. when it comes to protecting our family.

Becca's past was just enough, not too much. She seems like a strong, smart lady. I'm a really big fan of characters that are ambitious and 'have it all together', but underneath they have a few skeletons in their closet. No one is perfect, everyone has a past, but the most successful people are the ones who rise above the bullshit and succeed. I feel like that's Becca. She doesn't use her past or her diseases as a crutch. She's so different than Milla but just as likeable, thus far.

Love, love, love how supportive these two are of each other. The best relationships are based on mutual respect and wanting the best for the other person. Spencer wanting to be in her corner for one of the proudest moments in her life says so much about how he feels about her. Also, her respecting his boundaries is just so awww. I really love this pairing.

Hmm, lots of set up in this chapter.

I'm really curious about Becca's background, specifically her father's 'career' and why she won't return to training. Loved how she handled the meeting with her superior- Graceful, straight to the point, poised and respectful while she's seething on the inside. It shows that she's mature and able to check her emotions when the situation calls for it.

Hotch was so perfect, spot on. I love the way that he walks the tightrope between being Reid's superior and his father figure. I'm assuming that this 'accusor' is Drew from a previous chapter..hmm, FBI high school?

Gracia as protective older sister made me giggle. I love the way she kind of worked around JJ's request and looked up Becca's history anyway. Underneath all the glitter and feathers, our resident technical analyst is as protective over her BAU family as Gemma is of her Sons. Really curious about this big reveal. You're so good at dropping little hints that lead your readers to the conculsion. Your never predictable yet everything makes perfect sense.

Nice continuity with the "payment plan" between Becca and Reid. Really glad to see that they're taking it slow...you know I love a good slowburn. Looking forward to see how they progress.

I admit that I skimmed through the Star Trek stuff. My dad was obsessed and tried to get me into it too, but alas I never got the appeal. (Sorry!) Bec&Spencer's conversation was absolutely a-dorkable. Spencer's decision to let loose and just go with it felt like a real turning point. He's still so young emotionally so for him to admit to himself that he's 'in love' with Becca is a huge step. However, it didn't feel rushed or forced. Maybe it's because these two are so open and direct with one another. They are able to disagree like adults. Also, I love how he sort of 'profiles' her in a subtle way. It's such a rich detail.

Man, I'd hate to be in Becca's position. Of course, Garcia and Prentiss cornered her in that elevator! That were using their huge boobs to intimidate her. (Sorry. Couldn't help it. Had a visual. Call it boob envy) Really enjoyed the girls dinner. I love the Prentiss/JJ/Garcia friendship on the show so I'll never complain about more girl time. Prentiss and Garcia were spot on&Becca handled herself with style and grace. I actually dig the fact that Becca doesn't hide the fact that she doesn't drink or drive in order to seem more 'grown up'.
